Eddie for England?

BetVictor have cut young English club managers Eddie Howe (12s from 20s) Alan Pardew (12s from 20s) and introduced Gary Monk (14/1) into the betting for the next permanent England manager after the opening weeks of the Premier League season.

Spokesperson Charlie McCann:” We don’t think the FA will persevere with Roy Hodgson after France 2016 but the opening fortnight of the PL season has shown that there is an array of British born managerial talent and we expect Hodgson to be followed by another English coach. One could argue the position might become vacant too soon for Howe and perhaps Pardew’s chequered touchline past will come back to haunt him but Monk has been a revelation at the Liberty Stadium since taking over from Michael Laudrup and with Alex Neil doing such a great job at Carrow Road it is great to see young British managers get their chance.”
