With the new Premier League season around the corner, we’ve taken a look at each team and assessed their chances.
Arsenal fans are yet again praying that Arsene Wenger dips into the transfer market for a world-class striker with Olivier Giroud currently set to lead the line once again. The Gunners are expected to make additions to the side before the window closes with defender Per Mertesacker ruled out for 5 months with a knee injury. Our value bet for Arsenal comes in the shape of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. We think he could be the man Wenger opens the cheque book for this summer.
Eddie Howe’s side have splashed the cash this summer with the £15m signing of Jordon Ibe from Liverpool seemingly set to replace Junior Stanislas in their starting XI. Which looks to be an improvement. Striker Callum Wilson is also fully fit heading into the new campaign and that’s where we find our value bet for Bournemouth. The 24-year-old striker scored 5 goals in 13 games last season and looks a perfect fit for the Premier League.
The Clarets made a swift return to the Premier League after just one season back in the Championship but don’t expect them to stay around for long. Sean Dyche’s side have lost their Player of the Year from last season with Joey Barton joining Rangers and defender Michael Keane looks set to leave with both Leicester City and Stoke City prepared to pay big-money for the highly-rated centre back. One positive to take into the new season is the pre-season form of striker Andre Gray, who has scored 5 goals in 4 games. We’ve picked out a bet that will no doubt be of interest to the Burnley fans…
It’s all about Antonio Conte. The former Italy boss will be a breath of fresh air in the Premier League and Chelsea fans will be hoping he has more success on the pitch than Jose Mourinho’s side last season. Conte is renowned for his no nonsense approach and he could be the man to bring fire back to the bellies of Chelsea’s star trio Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa. The addition of N’Golo Kante will give them the high-tempo they lacked previously and big things should be expected from the West Londoners.
Alan Pardew’s number one target is once again to find a striker to compliment the attacking speed and flair of Bolasie, Zaha, Sako and summer-signings Andros Townsend. As things stand, Connor Wickham looks set to start the season for Palace with a £20m bid for West Brom striker Saido Berahino on the table.
The Ronald Koeman revolution has rolled into the blue half of Merseyside following the sacking of Roberto Martinez. Everton fans should expect a busy month on the transfer front with John Stones set to join Manchester City for a fee worth in the region of £50m. It’s unknown who this money will be spent on but reports suggest between 3-5 players will arrive.
What a shambles. Hull City head into the new season with no manager, no new signings and several injuries to their first team players. A lot of work is needed from whoever is to replace Steve Bruce with their game against champions Leicester City approaching.
The only way is down! After a season that still seems too unbelievable to be true, it’s going to be hard for Leicester City to perform anywhere like they have done. One bet that we do like the look of involves a certain Sir Jamie Vardy and an overrated *controversial* Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
After bringing in almost £50m and with Mario Balotelli expected to leave, it’s been a busy summer for Jurgen Klopp, who is expected to still splash the cash before the window closes. Some reports suggest Klopp may give Christian Benteke another chance to impress so if you agree, get on this bet…
It’s exciting times for City fans with Pep Guardiola arriving and big money being spent. The investment in new players is expected to reach near £150m by the end of the window with £50m of that on Everton defender John Stones. Manchester City are the favourites to win the title this season but we’re going for another bet as our value selection…
