QUIZ: Shortest Premier League Managerial Reigns

QUIZ: Shortest Premier League Managerial Reigns

QUIZ – Can you name the shortest managerial reigns in Premier League history?

The Premier League sack-race is in full flow with managers getting sacked left, right and centre at the moment! In the Premier League in particular we’ve seen the game evolve into a results driven business with the managers being the ones to pay the price when things aren’t going to plan due to the pressures and rewards that staying in the top flight brings.

Ronald Koeman is the latest managerial casualty after being shown the door following a poor start to the season. He follows Craig Shakespeare, who was sacked by Leicester after just 236 days in charge of The Foxes. The decision came as a shock with many questioning the decision. His reign is one of the shortest in Premier League history but believe it or not there’s some that are way, way shorter. Without giving too much away, there have been some ridiculously short tenures. Frank de Boer was relieved of his duties as Crystal Palace boss after just four games and 77 days – which made his reign the third shortest in history.

The managerial merry-go-round is set to continue in the coming weeks with West Ham reportedly giving Slaven Bilic just two games to save his job. Another manager who could be on the move is Burnley boss Sean Dyche, who has been heavily linked with the Leicester and Everton vacancies.

Following the news of Koeman’s departure, we’ve put together a quiz on the shortest managerial reigns in Premier League history. We’ve given you a VERY generous six minutes to name as many of these unfortunate gaffers as you can – it’s not easy as you’d think it is!
