Germany are on the lookout for a new manager following the sacking of Hansi Flick in the aftermath of Die Mannschaft’s heavy 4-1 loss to Japan. This gave Flick the unwanted record of being the first-ever German national team manager to be sacked.

Legendary striker Rudi Voller will take Interim charge of the national side will they look for a replacement. This comes after Flick’s disappointing record as manager where his side failed to advance from the group stages at the 2022 World Cup while also finishing on a 48% win percentage, having won just 12 of his 25 matches in charge.

Julian Nagelsmann Odds: 6/5

Julian Nagelsmann will be looking to become Germany’s next manager following his departure from Bayern Munich on 24th March.

Louis van Gaal Odds: 10/3

Louis van Gaal has emerged as the second favourite to become Germany’s next manager having led the Netherlands to the World Cup quarter-finals in Qatar where they were beaten by eventual winners Argentina on penalties.

The veteran Dutch coach has a plethora of managerial experience, having coached the likes of Ajax, Barcelona, AZ Alkmaar, Bayern Munich and Manchester United at club level, winning a total of 20 trophies along the way, with his most recent being the 2016 FA Cup with the latter mentioned side.

Jurgen Klopp Odds: 12/1

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has previously stated that he would be open to managing the German national team, however, he would not like to depart Liverpool in a poor manner.

Klopp has been nothing short of sensational for Liverpool since becoming their manager in 2015, having coached them to their first-ever Premier League title in 2019/20, while also winning the Champions League in 2019 among seven major honours.

Before his time at Anfield, Klopp had managed to win back-to-back Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund in 2010/11 and 2011/12, seeing his time be the last to break Bayern Munich’s stranglehold on the German top flight.
