Neil Lennon has now officially left his post as Hibernian manager, having been initially suspended following an incident between himself and club employees.
Both Lennon and his assistant Gary Parker were told by those above them to stay away from the club pending an investigation into an apparent confrontation between themselves and striker Florian Kamberi at a team meeting.
Hibernian have since released the following statement: "Despite widespread speculation, the club confirms that neither Neil nor Garry has been guilty of any misconduct or wrongdoing and no disciplinary process has been commenced.
"The suspension, put in place to allow an internal review, was lifted by the club as part of this agreement."
Lennon said: "It has been my privilege to serve the club and I wish it every success in the future."
Moving forward, the club are now on the lookout for his successor and former Scotland boss Gordon Strachan has been installed as the early 5/2 favourite.
The Edinburgh-born 61-year-old hasn’t managed in club football since 2010 when he left his role as Middlesbrough manager and has previously had spells with Coventry City, Southampton and Celtic. He won three league titles during his stint with Celtic, as well as the Scottish Cup and two League Cups.
Elsewhere, former manager Alan Stubbs is second-favourite at 3/1 with SkyBet. Stubbs had a decent spell in charge at Easter Road between 2014-2016, guiding the then-Championship club to two cup finals in his second season, winning the Scottish Cup with victory over Rangers at Hampden Park. Stubbs left Hibs for Rotherham in 2016.
Following on from the two favourites, other names in the frame include John Doolan (4/1), Eddie May (8/1) and Gary Holt (10/1).
