The final manager on this list of those linked to the job at Everton is former Southampton and Leicester City boss Claude Puel.
Puel is currently the manager of Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne and recently guided them to an 11th place finish. The 59-year-old has been managing back in France since October 2019, in the same year he was sacked at Leicester City having failed to impress at the King Power Stadium, where he won just 34% of the 67 games he managed as Foxes boss.
The most notable spell Puel had in England was back in 2016/17 when he was manager of Southampton, as he lead the Saints to an impressive eighth-placed finish and to a League Cup final where his side were narrowly beaten by Manchester United 3-2 at Wembley, he was controversially sacked at the end of the season due to the style of football which Southampton played.
In Puel’s earlier years as a manager, he did lead AS Monaco to a Ligue 1 title in the 1999/2000 season, however, he was also the start of Lyon’s downturn, as he took over a side that had won seven league titles in a row, and failed to win a single trophy in his three years at the Stade de Gerland before he was dismissed.
Puel is priced at 12/1 to switch from Saint-Etienne to Everton.
