Peter Wild is next on the list of managers that look set to be interested in managing Rochdale.
Wild is known for managing Rochdale’s rivals Oldham on three separate occasions, of which two were as caretaker. The 36-year-old managed his boyhood club Oldham 17 times between December 2018 and May 2019, winning eight, drawing three and losing six of which nine of these came between March and May 2019 in his only spell as a permanent managed at Boundary Park, before he left the club for personal reasons at the end of that campaign.
At present the former Oldham man is the manager of Halifax Town, seeing them win 38 games of the 87 matches he has taken charge of, which lead to an impressive run that saw the Lancashire side push for the playoff places against all odds, finishing 10th place in the National League, four points off a playoff place.
Wild is also priced at 5/2 to become the next permanent manager of Dale.
