Despite early signs of promise under his reign at the Emirates, it’s been a tough reign for Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
Things have gone from bad to worse, as the Gunners boss has overseen Arsenal’s worst-ever start to a top flight campaign, with three defeats in their opening four Premier League games. Many were criticising the former Manchester City assistant coach last season after the morth London outfit had some disappointing results and lingered around the bottom half of the table for much of the campaign.
With five wins in their final five league games, there was some optimism that Arteta was turning things around and set for a better season this year, but that has looked far from the case. As many Arsenal fans call for his head after a disastrous run, Arteta’s time at the Emirates could soon be up, whether he chooses to walk or is sacked.
Unsurprisingly, the next Premier League manager to be sacked odds for Arteta are at 1/1.
