With Sol Campbell having left his role as Southend manager, there are a wide variety of names in contention for the next Southend manger.
However, at the top of the Paddy Power odds list is Adam Barret and Kevin Maher at 3/1. Barrett, who left the Seasiders' are in 2017, played for the club in two stints totalling eight years and 338 appearances.
The ex-Southend defender has been with Millwall this past year as the caretaker manager for a short while, before moving into a role as the first-team coach where he remains to this day.
Also in the running at 3/1, Maher, is currently at Bristol Rovers as a first-team coach and he would certainly be a sensible option for the club to take on. Maher worked as the U21 and U23 boss for three years at Southend and since moving to coaching roles at Chelmsford City and Bristol, the club's former midfielder has become much more experienced.
Both men are priced at 3/1 to become the next Southend manager and either would be a sensible option.
