Fulham manager Scott Parker is also on the list of managers rumoured to be linked with the job at Tottenham.
Parker played for Spurs between 2011 and 2013 before making the switch to Craven Cottage where he played until his retirement in 2017. Following this, the 40-year-old went back to Spurs as part of their Under 18’s setup, before re-joining Fulham as part of their first-team coaching staff and stepped up as a caretaker manager in the 2018/19 season following Claudio Ranieri’s dismissal at the Cottagers.
Last season, Parker was appointed as permanent manager of Fulham and lead them to the Championship play-off final which they won against Brentford, thanks to a brace from Joe Bryan. Since then, Fulham have struggled for results in the top flight despite playing both attractive and entertaining football, something of which Spurs fans will be desperate to see back at their club, following a series of turgid defensive displays under Mourinho.
Parker has had a promising start to life in management and it would certainly be interesting to see what he could do with a better squad at his disposal.
The former Spurs midfielder is priced at 8/1 to return to the club for what would be his third spell.
