Former Southampton and Leicester manager Claude Puel has emerged as a frontrunner for the Watford job. The Frenchman has found success in his homeland with Saint Etienne, leading them to their first French Cup Final in 38 years after an ill-fated tenure with the Foxes.
Before his disappointing reign in Leicester, Puel found success with Southampton, earning an eighth-place finish in the Premier League but drew critics thanks to his defensive style.
However, this Premier League pedigree – as well as his European credentials – make Puel an attractive candidate. His defensive football will also be desired in Watford given their leaky, woeful defence in 2019-20.
The fairly experienced Premier League manager is the favourite to take the helm at 21/10.
