Sheffield Wednesday are looking for a new manager, following the sacking of former Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion coach Tony Pulis on 28th December, following a run which saw the Owls win just one game in ten under the Welshman’s management since his appointment back in early November.
There has been a lot of speculation as to why Wednesday pulled the trigger and sacked Pulis, with many citing that there was a row over potential transfer dealings and promises for this January’s transfer window, but, owner Dejphon Chansiri cited that it was due to his club’s awful run of league results as to why Pulis was relieved of his duties. Wednesday currently sit 22nd in the Championship, three points from safety, having already sacked Garry Monk earlier on in the season for a run of poor results, as well as receiving a points penalty due to breaking the EFL’s financial rules last season.
