Over 2.5 Goal Acca – Champions League and Championship

We’ve been on a roll recently with our over 2.5 goal accumulators.

In fact, out of the last 12 games that we’ve tipped up, 11 of them have come in. The only fixture that has let us down so far was Colchester vs Tottenham Hotspur last week. Cheers Spurs.

Looking ahead to tonight’s fixtures then, we’ve looked into the stats and the value and put together a four fold with BetVictor. Tonight’s selections come together has a 7/1 accumulator. Take a look below and see if you fancy any of our picks.

Leipzig vs Lyon – 9/20

  • Leipzig = 7/8 games this season with over 2.5 goals
  • Lyon = 4/9 games this season with over 2.5 goals

Leipzig are often a popular choice with punters when it comes to the over 2.5 goal market and it isn’t surprising to see why either. Out of their 8 games this season, this market has come in 7 times, with the only exception being their clash with Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side certainly like to play in an offensive manner, scoring 19 times already this season. Timo Werner is the main source of such goals, with the German forward already having 7 goals to his name this campaign, in just 7 games. He grabbed a brace at Benfica in their opening group game and will fancy his chances against a Lyon side that haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 7 fixtures.

The French club have started the season slowly, with their weak defence being their biggest downfall so far. Like Leipzig though, they do boast serious talent in their offensive line. Finding goals isn’t necessarily an issue in this side, with Memphis Depay and Moussa Dembele sharing 11 between them this season.

Both teams are known for their attacking powers, hence BetVictor‘s slightly low price at 9/20 for over 2.5 goals.

Valencia vs Ajax – 13/20

  • Valencia = 2/8 games with over 2.5 goals
  • Ajax = 11/13 games this season with over 2.5 goals

Similarly to Leipzig, Ajax tend to be another popular choice in this betting market, as their fixtures are often filled with goals. Their statistic of 11 over 2.5 goal games support this, with the majority of them coming from Ajax themselves. The Dutch club have scored 27 times in the league already this season and put 3 past Lille in their opening Champions League group game.

Last season’s heroes in Dusan Tadic and Hakim Ziyech have continued their hot form in-front of goal, but Ajax have a new star in their team. Quincey Promes arrived in the summer from Sevilla and has been a revelation so far, scoring 6 times in 9 games, including one in their CL clash with Lille.

Ajax may therefore be fancied by many at 6/4 tonight, but Valencia aren’t exactly pushovers. They grabbed a shock 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago and have also started relatively strongly in La Liga. They have scored 6 goals across their last 3 home games, so seeing over 2.5 goals in this fixture does seem promising.

Both clubs have the opportunity to make a big statement in Group H by making it 2 wins from 2, so they should be up for the fight.

Cardiff vs QPR – 5/6

  • Cardiff = 6/10 games with over 2.5 goals
  • QPR = 7/11 games with over 2.5 goals

QPR were one of the most in-form Championship teams heading into last weekend, before they were defeated 2-0 by West Brom. They had won their previous 4 league games on the bounce, scoring 10 in the process. With Nahki Wells and Jordan Hugill up-top, the Hoops have one of the strongest attacking records in the division, making BetVictor‘s price tonight at 5/6 one with big value.

Cardiff have also been in strong form recently, as they are undefeated in their last 5 league games, scoring in every fixture along the way. They may not be identified in being as prolific as their opponents tonight, but the Bluebirds do have 6 goals in 4 home fixtures this season.

Both teams will fancy their chances tonight and we are hoping for an open game of football. Both Warburton and Neil Warnock will be keen for 3 points to push their sides further up the table, making tonight’s fixture one to watch in this over 2.5 goal market.

Luton vs Millwall – 19/20

  • Luton = 11/12 games with over 2.5 goals
  • Millwall = 4/11 games with over 2.5 goals

Luton have appeared in every single one of our over 2.5 goal acca’s this season, with the selection coming in every single time. The Hatters’ stats in this market is simply ridiculous, with 11 of their games having over 2.5 goals. This statistic comes from both their ability to find the back of the net, but to also concede too.

After losing 3-0 and then 4-0 at home to Hull and Leicester, Luton responded with a 2-1 win away at Blackburn at the weekend. Graeme Jones’ side have now scored 14 goals in the league, making their price tonight at 19/20 quite a promising one.  Throw into the mix the fact that Millwall haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 7 fixtures and the chances of Luton scoring tonight look likely.

Such form has seen Luton be made slight favourites at 29/20, but it’s the game’s price for over 2.5 goals that stands out to us.
