Barcelona reportedly offer £50 million & Malcom for Chelsea’s Willian

La Liga leaders renew their interest in Chelsea’s Brazilian wide man

Barcelona are once again trying to sign Willian from Chelsea, proposing a deal which would see the winger’s fellow countryman – Malcom move in the opposite direction.

The Catalonian’s saw three bids for the 30-year-old rejected last summer, with the final offer submitted in July reportedly worth in excess of £55 million.

Barcelona signed highly rated winger Malcolm last summer, paying French outfit Bordeaux £38 million for his services, but have so far been hesitant to use him.

The 21-year-old has been limited to just five league appearances so far, and with several more established names ahead of him in the pecking order at the Camp Nou it looks as though he’s going to have look elsewhere to obtain regular first team football this term.

Willian’s contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2020, but it’s understood that Barcelona are desperate to land their man before this January’s transfer window is up. The Spaniards are reportedly willing to pay Chelsea a whopping £50 million PLUS Malcom to get this deal over the line.

Having been used sporadically under new manager Maurizio Sarri since the Italian took charge at Stamford Bridge, Willian’s days in West London look to be numbered, so should they receive another offer for him it’s hugely likely that they will take it.

Chelsea have made Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson their main transfer target this month, and with the Cherries valuing their prized asset at £50 million, shipping the rarely-used Willian off for the same amount would be a great bit of business.
