It’s been an incredible few weeks for supporters of Hull City, who from nowhere have seen their side move from relegation candidates to outsiders to finish in the Play-Offs.

At this moment in time, the club are the form side in the Championship, going on an incredible run of just one defeat in 12 games, while they have also won each of their last five on the bounce.

The Tigers enter this weekend’s FA Cup third round tie against Millwall off the back of an eight-game unbeaten run, winning six and drawing two in the process and thrashed Bolton Wanderers 6-0 in the Championship on New Year’s Day.

Confidence is really flowing for Nigel Adkins team, who have now climbed up to 13th in the Championship table and have moved to within seven points of the top-six with 20 games still to play this season.

Unfancied by many to make any noise at the start of the season, Hull started the 2018/19 campaign at 8/1 to achieve a top-six finish, which quickly drifted to 14/1 just three games into the season.

Their slow start continued, with the team then finding themselves as 125/1 longshots to get themselves a place in the top six by October 26. However, less than 10 weeks on from then, the team are now at 10/1 and have a legitimate chance to be in the Play-Offs.

Almost every season one team will come from nowhere to make a run for the top-six in the Championship, with Millwall being the side to do so last season, falling just three points short of 6th-placed Derby County. Huddersfield Town won promotion to the Premier League in 2017 after being rank outsiders at the beginning of the campaign.

Scoring 20 goals in their last seven games, Hull are flying at this moment in time and critically have goalscorers in their side, with Jarrod Bowen having 11 for the league season so far, with Fraizer Campbell second in their scoring charts on eight.
