Goals, Corners & Cards – We’ve got you covered

Football betting in the modern day is more than just about outright winners, there are now an array of different markets to delve into should you fancy backing something a little different.

Cards and corners betting has become extremely popular since the introduction of Request-A-Bet’s and Bet Builders, so we thought we’d help you out by examining which sides perform the best in each of these individual betting markets. Below, we’ve listed the best three sides to bet on for Cards, Corners, Over 2.5 goals and BTTS with the stats to back it up, so you don’t have too.

Both teams to score

FC Basel of the Swiss Super League are the top dogs when it comes to BTTS, with 17 of their 18 league fixtures this season ending in both teams finding the net. Currently second in the division, Marcel Koller’s men are a strong side who often win, but cannot defend to save their lives. Because of this, they could also be a good inclusion should you fancy a BTTS & Win bet this weekend, with 10 of their games this season ending with them coming out as victors having conceded at least one goal.

BTTS percentage: 94%

Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim are second in the list when it comes to BTTS. The German club have seen 17 of their 19 matches end with both teams scoring, obtaining a 90% record when it comes to this specific market. Julian Nagelsmann’s men have seen their last six matches all end in a BTTS scoreline.

BTTS percentage: 90%

Italian club Brescia, who currently compete in the country’s second tier – Serie B – are the third best side when it comes to BTTS, with 17 out of their 20 league games finishing in at least two goals evenly split between the two sides. Their last tie on Sunday against Spezia ended in a 4-4 thriller.

BTTS percentage: 85%

Corners (over 9.5 total corners per match)

Australian side Western Sydney Wanderers, of the A-League are the best team to bet on when it comes to corners right now. With 14 of their 16 league matches ending in over 9 corners (both teams), the Sydney-based outfit have an 88% record for this upcoming betting market.

Over 9.5 total corners percentage: 88%

Zwolle, of the Eerste Divisie (Dutch second tier) have seen 16 of their 19 matches end in both teams accumulating more than 9 corners, with their last match against Heracles last week ending with monstrous 14 match corners.

Over 9.5 total corners percentage: 84%

Swiss outfit Luzerne follow closely behind in third place when it comes to this market, with 15 of their 18 league matches ending in over 9.5 corners. The 5th placed outfit also saw a recent tie with Grasshoppers end in 14 corners being shared between the two sides.

Over 9.5 total corners percentage: 83%

Over 2.5 goals

Free scoring PSV of the Dutch Eredivisie are the team to back when it comes to the over 2.5 goals market, with 17 of their 19 league matches ending with more than two goals being scored (both teams combined). Their previous eight matches in the Dutch top flight have ended in with over 2.5 goals.

Over 2.5 goals percentage: 90%

The next best side when it comes to this market is Turkish Super Lig club Kasimpasa. With a staggering 84% hit rate when it comes to over 2.5 goals in their league matches, backing this market in your acca for their game against Sivasspor this weekend could prove to be a shrewd move.

Over 2.5 goals percentage: 84%

Unsurprisingly, French powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain have made it into this list after 16 of their 20 league games this season have ended with more than two goals scored. In a league with such limited quality, Neymar & Co. were always going to run amuck.

Over 2.5 goals percentage: 80%

Cards (over 3.5 total cards per match)

Greek Super League club OFI Crete are the market leaders when it comes to cards. Michael Bousis’s men have a 100% record when it comes to being nasty b*stards on the pitch, with all 17 of their league games ending in more than three cards being brandished.

Over 3.5 cards percentage: 100%

The first of two Portugese clubs to make up this trio are Benfica, who have seen only one of their 19 league clash’s NOT feature 4+ cards. With a 95% hit rate though, they’re still a pretty safe bet.

Over 3.5 cards percentage: 95%

Fellow Primeira Liga club Rio Ave have an identical record to Benfica, with 18/19 of their league games also ending with over 3.5 cards. It may be the strictness of refereeing in Portugal, but we’re not complaining about it; Rio Ave’s last clash against Maritimo saw five cards awarded between both sides, with their most recent game against Benfica seeing six cards displayed at the start of this month.
