Six games and eight goals in 2020. It’s fair to say that Cristiano Ronaldo has started the new year with a bang.

It’s hard to believe that the Portuguese forward is turning thirty-five next month, as he continues to knock records out of the park. With twenty goals across all competitions, Ronaldo is Juventus’ top scorer this season, with a potential treble still on the cards for the Italian club.

Can the superstar keep up his incredible form? We’ve looked into some CR7 mid-season betting odds.

Serie A top scorer – 4/1

At 4/1, it is strange to see Ronaldo’s name be given such a high price to win his league’s golden boot. This is purely the case following Ciro Immobile’s incredible campaign though. The Lazio striker has scored twenty-three times in the Serie A this season, six more than CR7 himself.

Such a distance has been closed quickly though, following Ronaldo’s strong start to the year. In fact, the Juventus forward started 2020 at 8/1 to finish as the league’s top scorer, with his current odds of 4/1 being the lowest since October. Despite still being in second place, there is a long way to go in the season, with there being big value in CR7.

You can never overlook Ronaldo’s chances in getting on the score-sheet, as his latest form shows. With Juventus sitting on-top of the table by just three points, the reigning champions know they will be pushed to the final hurdle, meaning the Portuguese’s efforts will be needed more than ever. Playing in-front of the creative figures of Paulo Dybala and Miralem Pjanić, expect chances to keep coming his way.

It looks most likely to be a two horse race for the golden boot, and it is one that is far from over.

Coppa Italia winner – 13/8

Having won four of the last five available Coppa Italia’s, Juventus’ often find themselves as the favourites for the trophy. This season has been no exception, with the Old Lady storming past Udinese and Roma to reach the semi-finals. Their opponents are currently unknown, but they remain the 13/8 favourites to win the competition.

Last season’s winners in Lazio have been eliminated, with Juventus inevitably being favoured in the outright betting market. Ronaldo opened the scoring against Roma in their quarter-final tie, with the Serie A champions running out 3-1 winners. This was his first appearance in the tournament this season, and we expect his anytime goalscorer price for Juventus’ semi-final next month to be short.

Maurizio Sarri will be keen to win silverware during his debut campaign for the club, so this competition will not be taken lightly.

Juventus to win Champions League – 11/1

Without a Champions League title in the 21st century, modern-day Juventus fans continue to crave European success. Their last final in the competition came against Real Madrid back in 2017, with Ronaldo coincidently getting on the score-sheet against his current side.

Many predicted the arrival of the Portuguese star to fill the missing cog to help guide the Turin side to a CL trophy, but they fell against the impressive Ajax last season. With five wins and one draw from six group games though, Sarri’s side are ones to watch in the competition this season, particularly at 11/1.

They were given a favourable draw against Lyon in the knock-out draw, with the French side picking up just eight points in Group G. For context, only Atalanta out of the progressed sides gained less. With two goals so far, Ronaldo hasn’t lit up the European stage as expected, with his odds of 150/1 to be the top scorer epitomising this. He’s already eight behind Robert Lewandowski, who is the huge 1/25 favourite.

The golden boot may not be in his sights, but a sixth CL title no doubt is.
