The three most backed teams for tonights football – 07/01/19

There are a few games around Europe tonight, with fixtures taking place in the FA Cup, Coupe de France and the Portuguese Primeira Liga amongst others. Here we’ve taken a look at the three teams most people are backing in tonights football.

Liverpool to beat Wolves (Best priced at 10/11 with Sky Bet)

Liverpool kick their 2018/19 FA Cup campaign off tonight with a tricky test against fellow Premier League side Wolves. Despite Jurgen Klopp admitting that he will rest a few regulars, punters are still backing the league leaders to pick up a win at Molineux tonight at a price of around 10/11 with most bookmakers. The two sides played each other just a couple of weeks ago in the Premier League, with Liverpool coming away with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk however it could be a tighter affair this time around. Wolves are likely to be near to full strength and with Premier League survival already all-but secure a cup run will be on Nuno Espirito-Santo’s agenda.

Lille to beat Sochaux (Best priced at 3/8 with Betway)

The final fixture of the round of 64 Coupe de France matches also takes place tonight, with Lille welcoming Sochaux to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Lille are flying high in Ligue 1 this season, currently sitting in second place but with Paris Saint Germain 13 points ahead of them this competition is a more likely source of silverware for them. As for Sochaux, they are really struggling in Ligue 2 and are just three points above the relegation play-offs. It is easy to see why plenty are backing a home win for Lille in this one.

Sporting Lisbon to beat Tondela (Best priced at 13/20 with BetVictor)

The Portuguese Primeira Liga continues tonight, with three fixtures taking place. The standout team to back from a punters perspective appears to be Sporting Lisbon, who are 13/20 to beat struggling Tondela. Sporting are fourth in the league at the moment with 11 wins, one draw and three defeats and have played a game less than their rivals, a win here could take them up to second. By contrast Tondela sit in 14th place and have managed just four wins from 15 games so far, leaving them three points above the relegation zone. Whilst they have won their last two matches, most seem to think that Sporting will be too strong in this one with four wins in their last five themselves.

This football treble can be backed at 3.4/1 with Betway!
