WATCH: Maradona exits pitch in style after being sent to the stands in Mexico

Diego Maradona is at it again. Earlier this week we saw him partake in possibly the weirdest ever post-match interview with a Mexican TV station, where it was blatantly obvious to everyone that he was a little, lets say, off his face? (see below).

Now, the former Argentinian international has made further headlines in Mexico after his bizarre exit while being sent to the stands in a recent league match between Dorados (the team he manages), and Atletico San Luis.

After getting involved in altercation on the touchline, where the 58-year-old appeared to square up to his opposite number in the San Luis dugout, the officials saw it fit to banish Maradona to the stands.

As the South American gingerly walked to the tunnel, he clapped to the fans in the stands and kissed his hand before brushing it against the floor.

Maradona has every reason to feel jubilant however, as his side ended up winning the clash 1-0, which means they’re just one match away from promotion to the Liga MX (top tier of Mexican football).

Say what you like about Maradona, but he’s great entertainment value.
