Which manager will be next to leave…?

During recent weeks in the Premier League there has been a whirlwind of managerial departures which have taken place. First, we saw Craig Shakespeare leave his post at Leicester. A decision which was deemed as harsh by the majority of football fans. Shakespeare had been in the job for less than a year and had steadied a sinking ship last season, when he took over from title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri. Shortly after Shakespeare, Ronald Koeman was next to get the chop. This decision came as less of a surprise, with Everton lingering at the foot of the table after spending huge amounts of money in the summer transfer window. A few bad signings and a lack of wins would get most managers sacked, and rightly so Koeman was gone. The final instalment of the manager sacking whirlwind was West Ham’s Slaven Billic. Another manager, whose fate had been coming to him for a number of weeks prior to the eventual sacking. We have looked at the list of managers who may be in demand by rival Premier League clubs, or who might be next in line to walk the Premier League sack plank. We have outlined who we think will be next to leave their position…

Former Hammers’ boss Slaven Bilic

Tony Pulis (6/4 at SkyBet to be the next Premier League manager to leave)

After just two wins all season, the only thing separating West Brom from the drop zone is a slender point. The Baggies currently boast a record of 2 wins in 20 matches, a sequence of results that caused some fans to call for a change of management during recent West Brom’s matches. Pulis has built up a reputation throughout his career of always keeping teams in the Premier League, and providing mid-table security. A reputation that is currently under threat with the Baggies looking short of confidence, and with games against Chelsea and Spurs on the horizon, it looks well and truly bleak for Tony Pulis.

Marco Silva (16/4 at SkyBet to be the next Premier League manager to leave)

The Watford boss is the current favourite for the vacant Everton job. It has been reported that Watford have been offered £10million by The Toffees to release Silva from his two-year contract at Vicarage Road but The Hornets are seemingly refusing to back down and let Silva leave. It is understood that Everton are also prepared to pay Silva a salary of £3.5million a season, although his deal at Watford is £2.6 million plus bonuses. Will Silva look to push the move? The Portuguese boss has only been at Vicarage Road since May, after a brief spell at Hull where he impressed. But would another move look good on Silva’s CV? That would make it two Premier League switches in less than 12 months, a potential lack of loyalty which a future employer may look at in a negative way.
