Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak will be subject to a lot of interest after the European Championships, following an impressive and mature season from the 21-year-old in La Liga, scoring 17 and making two assists in 34 appearances, helping the Basque club to a fifth-place finish.
Alexander Isak Summer Transfer Odds
Alexander Isak Summer Transfer Odds
Liverpool Odds: 6/1
Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in the former Borussia Dortmund man following an under-par season from Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino, which saw the 29-year-old manage just nine goals in 36 appearances. With the former Hoffenheim strikers contract set to run out in two years’ time, Jurgen Klopp may feel that it is perhaps the right time to freshen up his attack.
Isak, would provide an areal threat up front, as he is 6 foot 3, which is something that could be of use to the Anfield club, as they are well known for the number of crosses that they deliver into opposition penalty areas, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson overlapping the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane on each flank.
Manchester Utd Odds: 7/1
Manchester United are next on this list of clubs that are rumoured to be interested in the Swede, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are well known to be on the lookout for a striker.
With Edinson Cavani’s contract being extended by just one more year, a move for Isak would be a decent one to make as a long-term successor to the Uruguayan due to his age, play style as an out and out number nine, as well as the fact that he would likely cost a lot less than other targets and would be a more accessible option than the likes of Harry Kane.
Chelsea Odds: 8/1
It is no secret that Chelsea will be on the lookout for a new striker following Timo Werner’s rough start to life at Stamford Bridge following his move from RB Leipzig last summer. The 25-year-old Stuttgart born striker only managed six league goals throughout the whole of last season as Chelsea narrowly finished in the Champions League qualification places prior to their European triumph against Manchester City in Porto.
With Tammy Abraham looking surplus to requirements, as well as Olivier Giroud having a reduced role, the signing of Isak would make logical sense, due to his age, potential and physical stature, as he is both quick and tall, something which would benefit Chelsea’s 3-4-3 system, as they ultimately need a focal point if they are to challenge for the Premier League title in the upcoming campaign.
Arsenal Odds: 9/1
Isak is a player that will also be on Arsenal’s radar, as 30-year-old French striker Alexandre Lacazette has just 12 months left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and could well be on his way out of the Premier League.
Lacazette managed 13 Premier League goals last campaign but has ultimately failed to live up to the expectations set of the former Lyon man when he first arrived in the Premier League back in the summer of 2017, meaning that a move for Isak could be a positive one, as Arsenal could potentially sign a younger striker with more potential on a lower wage than the Frenchman.
Tottenham Hotspur Odds: 12/1
The final team on this list of clubs that are interested in Isak is Tottenham Hotspur. At the moment Spurs have issues with their strikers, as Harry Kane looks to be trying to force through a move to Manchester City, whilst backup option Carlos Vinicius has returned to his parent club Benfica, following the Lilywhites refusal to pay up the buyout option in his loan deal.
Isak could be a good option for Tottenham, due to the potential that he has shown at Sociedad in helping them re-qualify for the Europa League, as well as the fact that he will likely have a high resale value if the Sweden international hits the ground running.
