If Germany is to be the winger’s next destination, Borussia Dortmund are the favourites to secure his services.
The Black and Yellows could do with more cover on the attacking wings following the injuries to Marco Reus, and even more so if Jadon Sancho is to move away from the Signal Iduna Park. The heavily rumoured departure of the Englishmen could be the key factor influencing the signing of Sánchez for Dortmund, especially as his parent club United are the favourites to land the young winger Sancho.
Any potential deal that sees the former Watford man join the Red Devils could involve Sánchez going the other way as part of the exchange, or even being looked at as a replacement for Dortmund- he is now 11/1 to join Borussia Dortmund in the next transfer window.
Dortmund’s title rivals and the reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich could also be in the running to sign the former Barcelona man. They have been looking at other wingers such as Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, and if no deal could be made there, other options may have to be assessed by the Bavarians when looking at potential extra firepower on the wings. Being the biggest club in Germany, Bayern should be able to afford the extortionate wages the former Sánchez earns at United anyway, but the likelihood is they will be cut when he moves next regardless. He is now the high price of 14/1 to join Bayern Munich when the window opens.
Bayer Leverkusen could be a surprise contender to land the Copa America winner as they look to improve and establish themselves as a top four Champions League outfit. As a matter of fact, Sánchez is already familiar with finding the nets in the Bay Arena, where he scored his first two Champions League goals when playing for Barcelona in late 2013.
Just like their other German adversaries, Leverkusen could be looking at replacement in attack come the summer, with a number of their star players such as Kai Havertz and Leon Bailey being linked with moves away. Odds are 18/1 for Bayer Leverkusen to be Sánchez’s next club.
