Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer, following 10 years at the club.
The 30-year-old Spain international has just two years left on his current contract come the end of the season and following the emergence of Dean Henderson following the Englishman’s successful loan spell at Sheffield United and string of impressive displays for the Red Devils when deputising, the former Atletico Madrid man has now been reduced to the role of cup goalkeeper.
With De Gea currently on £375,000 per week wages, it is unlikely that United will want to allow the Spaniard to sit on the bench due to the astronomical salary that he is receiving, meaning that the 30-year-old will be made surplus to requirements.
