Eddie Nketiah transfer odds: Crystal Palace

Eddie Nketiah looks set to leave Arsenal as we approach the final few days of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners forward has barely been given a chance to shine at the Emirates since swapping Chelsea for Arsenal back in 2015 as a teenager, and now at 22, Nketiah is favoured to move to Crystal Palace for regular first team action.

The Eagles are in a process of moving forward under Patrick Vieira and they are being tipped to go down in the eyes of many, due to the idea that ex-manager, Roy Hodgson, was the main factor in keeping them in the Premier League.

What no doubt forces this transfer towards the attention of Vieira is the constant transfer talk about Wilfried Zaha and the long-term injury to Eberechi Eze, who is set to miss most of the 2021/22 season after an impressive debut campaign with his new club.

Nketiah scored six times in 29 games for Arsenal last time out and whilst this hasn't forced him into the light of some of the best under 23 talents in the country, at 22, the forward remains one to watch for the future. Now, he is 1/1 to join Palace and it seems like a transfer that makes sense across the board, as it could potentially add finances to a move for Arsenal elsewhere as well.

Eddie Nketiah transfer odds: Aston Villa

Nketiah joining Aston Villa was a topic that was largely discussed earlier in the window as Jack Grealish was set to depart for Manchester City, but then again, plenty other names were linked to replace their ex-captain as well.

Now, however, with the addition of Leon Bailey, it isn't necessarily a transfer that makes that much sense and he is now rightfully so priced at 18/1 to join them.

Nketiah's ability has never been doubted, but on the other hand, the Englishman hasn't exactly proved himself as a man to take a club like Villa forward just yet. However, with a reported £20m asking price for his signature, it could end up being astute business for Dean Smith's side.

For Nketiah, it doesn't really add up, as he won't really get much game time here either.

Eddie Nketiah transfer odds: Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion are another club linked with his signature and unlike Villa and Wolves who are also reported to want him, a move to the Seagulls makes plenty of sense for all involved.

Firstly, the Graham Potter style of play down at the AMEX will have many young forwards watching it and wondering, while for Nketiah, he will have the belief that he can make an impact on the south coast, simply because of how Potter lines his side up and trusts in youth.

Aaron Connolly, Tariq Lamptey and Alexis Mac Allister are just three names under the age of 23 that start near enough every game under his leadership and this will no doubt bode well for Nketiah, who is desperate for game time.

On the other hand, at £20m, it might be a little bit too much to ask for, given how at a club of their level, £20m is all but their budget gone. Nevetheless, after Palace at EVENS, Nketiah is 7/1 to join Brighton.
