Ismaila Sarr Transfer News & Odds

Ismaila Sarr is said to be attracting plenty of interest from Premier League clubs following Watford’s relegation back to the Championship.

The 24-year-old was one of the Hornets' better players last season and has clearly shown that he is much more than a Championship quality player, having managed 23 goal involvements for the Vicarage Road club back in the 2020/21 season when they finished as runners-up in England’s second tier.

To Stay At Watford Odds: 5/6

At present, Sarr could well stay at Watford following a collapsed proposed move to Aston Villa earlier this week.

The Senegalese winger reportedly failed to agree on personal terms with the Villa Park club despite the transfer fee itself being agreed upon at £27m. This was despite of Kortney Hause agreeing to join the Hornets on loan for the rest of the season.

Could it be that Sarr enjoys life at Watford and would like to stay? On top of this, Villa also failed to agree on the structure of the £27m fee with the Vicarage Road club, despite their initial agreement over the price.

Sarr has already managed two goal contributions in three Championship outings and could be crucial to any promotion chances which the Hornets have.

Crystal Palace Odds: 4/1

Patrick Vieira is also keen on taking the Watford winger to Selhurst Park as the Eagles look to continue to build their squad following last year’s mass overhaul of players.

With Michael Olise impressing last season, Palace will know that there will be plenty of suitors in for the former Reading man, meaning that Sarr could effectively be a long-term replacement for him at the club.

As well as this, Palace does have a shortage of wingers at the club, hence why Jordan Ayew has often featured out there, meaning that Sarr’s versatility to play on both sides could sort this. Another factor could be that Wilfried Zaha has just 12 months left on his deal at Selhurst Park.

Palace are priced at 4/1 to sign Sarr this summer.

Everton Odds: 6/1

Everton will be looking to improve their squad following a near miss from relegation from the Premier League last season.

With Andros Townsend suffering a big knee injury towards the latter end of last season, he wiill have a long path to recovery, whilst Alex Iwobi has failed to impress during his time at Goodison Park, scoring just four times in 83 Premier League appearances. Subsequently, the Nigerian has now been deployed as a central midfielder by Frank Lampard.

On top of this, Anthony Gordon has been linked with a £60m move to Chelsea, meaning that the Toffees will likely need a replacement, of which Sarr would cost less than half of the incoming transfer fee that they could receive from the Stamford Bridge club.

Due to these reasons, the signing of Sarr could be crucial for the Toffees in an attempt to add more quality and to fill out their squad.

Everton are priced at 6/1 to acquire Sarr from Watford in the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa Odds: 8/1

As mentioned above, Aston Villa came incredibly close to completing a deal for Sarr, however, there was a failure to agree on a structure of the £27m fee, as well as the fact that the player never agreed personal terms with the Villa Park club.

However, there is always the chance that Villa could go back in for the Senegalese winger, especially with Watford's recent loan signing of Kortney Hause going the other way to team up with fellow Villain, Keinan Davis.

Villa are priced at 8/1 to finally get their man.

Leeds United Odds: 9/1

It is clear to see that Jesse Marsch is building an exciting squad at Elland Road, having lead the Whites to survival in the Premier League last season following the sacking of club favourite Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds are known for having a high-pressing dynamic style of play, similarly to that which Bielsa deployed, but slightly more pragmatic. Sarr would likely fit this system down to a tee, hence why Leeds have been linked with the ex-Rennes man.

Leeds are priced at 9/1 to sign Sarr from Watford.

Newcastle United Odds: 16/1

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Sarr, with Eddie Howe looking to make further improvements to the Magpies squad as they look to have another progressive season.

The 24-year-old proved to be a useful asset for the Hornets last season despite their relegation back to the Championship, having scored five and created two assists from the right-wing, a position which the Magpies will be looking to strengthen.

With Watford being relegated last campaign Sarr is reportedly available for just £27m, a potentially cheap fee if Howe can get the former Rennes man producing the high-quality performances that the rest of his side have since the turn of the year. On top of this, Sarr is a player that could potentially be developed and could have a high resale value.

Newcastle are priced at 16/1 to sign Sarr from Watford.

West Ham United Odds: 20/1

West Ham also has concrete interest in Sarr, with David Moyes looking to add more options to his squad having overseen the Hammers’ qualification for next season’s Europa Conference League.

Sarr would provide some good backup to the likes of Jarrod Bowen, whilst also providing competition to the England international who was superb for the Hammers last campaign.

On top of this, West Ham recently released Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko following an injury-prone spell at the London Stadium, meaning that they now have a spare space in their squad to fill. On top of this, Sarr's versatility could be a useful asset, as he can play on either wing and up-front.

Sarr is priced at 20/1 to leave Vicarage Road for the London Stadium.
