Kylian Mbappe has become one of the most spoken about young talents of world football, as both fans and pundits alike deeming him to be the successor to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in becoming the world’s next best player.
Paris Saint-Germain’s number seven has won two French Ligue 1 titles as well as two different French cup competitions with the Parisian’s in just two and half seasons, winning an additional league title with his previous club, Monaco, in the 2016/17 season.
On top of this, at only 21-years-old he has already won a FIFA World Cup - a trophy that has eluded the Ballon d'Or regulars, Messi and Ronaldo.
However, unlike the World Player of the Year winners, the Frenchman is yet to win the Champions League, a trophy won five times by Ronaldo and four times by Messi. Arguably, to follow in the footsteps of his Argentine and Portuguese predecessors, Mbappe will need to win Europe’s most elite competition, a trophy that has evaded his current club as of yet, despite the millions spent.
The PSG forward has been linked to a number of Europe’s elite recently, which could perhaps prompt the young striker to have his head turned by the prospect of winning more prestigious trophies in order to be considered the world’s next best player and win Ballon d'Or awards.
Although, Ligue 1’s joint top scorer will undoubtedly come with a heavy price tag. His current club paid an overall fee of around £160 million for the striker’s signature in 2018, with his current price tag no doubt now surpassing this, should he depart from the French capital.
Here, we take a look at the Paddy Power odds for Mbappe’s next potential club.
