The verdict on Thomas Tuchel is split over football fans seeing the German as a tactician or phoney.

Kylian Mbappe Odds

Kylian Mbappe has become one of the most spoken about young talents of world football, as both fans and pundits alike deeming him to be the successor to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in becoming the world’s next best player.

Paris Saint-Germain’s number seven has won two French Ligue 1 titles as well as two different French cup competitions with the Parisian’s in just two and half seasons, winning an additional league title with his previous club, Monaco, in the 2016/17 season.

On top of this, at only 21-years-old he has already won a FIFA World Cup - a trophy that has eluded the Ballon d'Or regulars, Messi and Ronaldo.

However, unlike the World Player of the Year winners, the Frenchman is yet to win the Champions League, a trophy won five times by Ronaldo and four times by Messi. Arguably, to follow in the footsteps of his Argentine and Portuguese predecessors, Mbappe will need to win Europe’s most elite competition, a trophy that has evaded his current club as of yet, despite the millions spent.

The PSG forward has been linked to a number of Europe’s elite recently, which could perhaps prompt the young striker to have his head turned by the prospect of winning more prestigious trophies in order to be considered the world’s next best player and win Ballon d'Or awards.

Although, Ligue 1’s joint top scorer will undoubtedly come with a heavy price tag. His current club paid an overall fee of around £160 million for the striker’s signature in 2018, with his current price tag no doubt now surpassing this, should he depart from the French capital.

Here, we take a look at the Paddy Power odds for Mbappe’s next potential club.

Kylian Mbappe Madrid Odds

Real Madrid have been dubbed the favourites to sign Mbappe this summer, with the odds of 7/2. In a letter to the Players Tribune in February, Mbappe revealed he had been invited to train at Real Madrid by Zinedine Zidane - the Madrid sporting director at the time - when he was just 13 years old.

Now, the PSG striker has been heavily linked to Los Blancos in a deal could be set to be worth more than £200 million. This would not be the first time Madrid have broken transfer records to sign what they believe to be the world’s best, signing Zidane, Kaka, Ronaldo and Gareth Bale for world record fees since the turn of the century.

Since Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus in 2018, Madrid have failed to adequately replace their former goalscoring talisman, signing Eden Hazard in his place who has appeared a mere 15 times and scoring just once in all competitions for Madrid.

Mbappe, on the other hand, has scored 33 and assisted 17 goals in all competitions for PSG thus far this season; statistics similar to those Ronaldo boasted during his time at the Bernabeu, making the Frenchman the perfect solution to this issue.

Although, in a press conference after qualifying for the Champions League round of 16, the PSG striker had said that it is his dream to help PSG win their first Champions League title, something the club have barely got close to.

The French frontman is still contracted to play at the Parc des Princes until 2022, making it a very expensive move for Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, one which might turn their attention away, especially with Financial Fair Play already booting Manchester City out of Europe.

Kylian Mbappe Manchester City Odds

As is the case with City's budget, they have also been linked with a chance of signing the French phenomenon this summer, with odds of 12/1.

Like PSG, City are no strangers to spending massive amounts of money to bring the players they need to the Etihad, spending well over £1bn since their takeover by the Abu Dhabi Investment group in 2008.

Guardiola and Mbappe have previously spoken about how the Spaniard would use the 21-year-old striker, according to L’Equipe, after the PSG man expressed his admiration for the City manager to the French sports paper. The report also claimed that the French international had said no to City already in 2016, as the striker opted for PSG instead.

Now, City could see this as the perfect time to sign a new talisman as a replacement for City’s current club hero, Sergio Aguero. The Argentine is now 31-years-old and is also prone to injury, suggesting his time in Manchester may be coming to an end, perhaps prompting Guardiola to start looking for a replacement for their star striker.

However, despite City having the lure of possibly the best manager in the world, City fans will most likely have to wait for such majestic signings. As mentioned, the Mbappe is yet to win the Champions League, and the Citizens side facing a two-year European ban, it is highly unlikely Mbappe will seek this move anytime soon.

Kylian Mbappe Liverpool Odds

Liverpool are the unlikely candidates in the race to sign Mbappe and, for this reason, Paddy Power have given them the odds of 14/1 to sign the Frenchman.

The Reds have had a record-breaking season thus far, currently sitting at pole position in the league, 25 points ahead of second-placed City. Sensational performances from key men like Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have raised rumours of the possible transfers of Liverpool’s frontmen.

Amid this interest and the club's unrivalled year, Liverpool have been linked with a possible move for the very around like Mbappe, should either of the African duo decide to depart from the club this summer. The French forward is almost a like for like replacement for both forwards, being both a prolific goalscorer and creator, fitting perfectly into Jurgen Klopp’s exciting and fast-paced style of play.

Despite these rumours, however, it is highly unlikely either Mane or Salah will leave the club this summer after being very successful in the past two years under Klopp, winning a Champions League and being well on their way to winning Liverpool’s first Premier League title.

Therefore, it is even more unlikely Mbappe will be gracing the Anfield pitch next year, as he would be more likely to join the likes of Real Madrid where he would be more valued, should the World Cup winner make the unlikely decision to leave the French capital before the 2020 deadline day.
