Raphina made his name in European football at Sporting Lisbon alongside Bruno Fernandes, playing with him for a season in 2018/19 before moving onto Rennes. Raphinha has supposedly kept a good relationship with Fernandes despite playing for fierce rivals and this connection could be why Raphina is linked to Manchester United.
If Raphina was to move to Manchester, he will most likely be an impact sub, with the likes of Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Paul Pogba most likely ahead of him in the pecking order in his positions.
In reality, a move by United doesn’t make much sense. The club have an array of wingers, with them just bringing in Sancho in the summer for £72m and with the problem for United being more defensively related, splashing the cash to a rival's attacker doesn't make sense.
At 12/1, the higher odds are justified.
