It looks set to be a very interesting summer for Birmingham City striker Che Adams. The 22-year-old has been outstanding for the Blues this season, netting an impressive 22 goals and providing four assists in 45 Championship appearances.
His brilliant displays have helped to ensure that Garry Monk's side have avoided relegation despite a nine point deduction, and have also meant that he has attracted admiring glances from other clubs.
In the January transfer window we told you that both Burnley and Southampton were interested in Adams, and it looks as though they will continue to pursue him in the summer. But it seems likely that they will not be the only ones chasing the former Sheffield United strikers signature, with plenty of other Premier League clubs reportedly interesting in taking him in the upcoming transfer window.
With Birmingham struggling financially at the moment they are almost certain to sell their prize asset before the 2019/20 campaign kicks off, and are likely to demand a fee in excess of £15 million for his services.
But where will he go? We have taken a look at the bookmakers odds to see which destinations they think are likely for Adams.
Leicester City and Southampton favourites to secure Adams transfer
According to the bookmakers odds, Adams' most likely destination is either Leicester City or a club he was linked with in January, Southampton.
Leicester have been keeping tabs on the player for a while and he looks a player who would fit right into their style of play, especially under Brendan Rodgers. The Foxes play a high tempo game with plenty of pace, something which Adams has in abundance.
They currently have Jamie Vardy leading the line for them of course, but are keen to add at least one more striker to their ranks. It hasn't quite worked out for Vardy's understudy Kelechi Iheanacho at the King Power Stadium, whilst another of their strikers Shinji Okazaki will leave the club on a free in a couple of months time.
Adams has been subject to interest from Leicester before. Indeed he had a trial with the club at the age of 16 but they chose not to offer him terms and he ended up joining Non League outfit Ilkeston Town. He is though from the area, which could help the Foxes in their efforts to sign him and they are 4/1 join favourites to sign him with BetVictor.
As for Southampton, they too will be looking at striking options this summer and Adams could be a prime target. The Saints do have Danny Ings, Charlie Austin and Shane Long on their books, but none of them have managed to score goals consistently this term.
Unlike Leicester, Ralph Hasenhuttl's side did try to buy the Birmingham hitman in the last transfer window. They reportedly had a bid of around £10 million rejected in January, so the interest is definitely there from the south coast outfit.
BetVictor have the Saints as the same 4/1 odds as Leicester City to sign Adams in the summer.
