Arjen Robben will leave Bayern Munich this summer on a free transfer as his contract is set to expire. The 35-year-old joined the club in 2009, signing for around €25 million from Real Madrid and has been a key player for them since his arrival.
The former Netherlands international made his final appearance for the club in their 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt alongside another club legend set to leave in Franck Ribery. Fittingly both players managed to score a goal in the game before waving goodbye to the Allianz Arena.
During his time with the German club he has helped them win eight Bundesliga titles, four DFB -Pokal's, five DFL-Supercup's and perhaps most importantly the UEFA Champions League in the 2012/13 season.
He has been at his most prolific in front of goal whilst at Bayern, averaging just under a goal every other game having netted 144 times in 308 appearances in all competitions.
But what is next for Robben? Whilst he has not completely ruled out retirement, it does seem like he would prefer to continue playing if the right opportunity presents itself. Bookmakers have released odds on which club he will join this summer and we have taken a look at them to see where his potential destinations are.
Leicester surprise favourites to secure Robben transfer
According to the bookmakers, Robben's next destination could see him return to the Premier League. Sky Bet have got Leicester City down as the favourites to sign the former Dutch international this summer, with odds of 2/1 available.
He has of course spent time in English football before, enjoying a three year spell at Chelsea between 2004-07 where he was part of the squad which won back-to-back titles under Jose Mourinho.
Whilst there is no concrete link between the Foxes and Robben at the moment, there has been a flurry of bets placed on him moving to the King Power Stadium which has led to the odds decreasing.
A move to Leicester would be similar to when the club signed former Inter Milan star Esteban Cambiasso back in 2014. His experience back then helped the club stay up that season and Robben could also add vital experience to a squad which is talented, but has lots of young players particularly on the wing with the likes of Harvey Barnes and Damarai Gray. He could prove to be an excellent person for those two in particular to look up to.
Behind Leicester in the market are PSV Eindhoven who are priced at 3/1. Robben of course previously played for the Eredivisie side in his early years and it could be a good move for him at this late stage of career as it would allow him to move back to his native country.
A move to the MLS could also appeal to him. We have seen it before with plenty of high profile players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham finishing their careers in the USA, could Robben choose to do the same? He is 4/1 to move Stateside.
