Premier League Round-Up: Saturday 15/09/2018

Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool

The Premier League is back this weekend and commences with an absolutely mouth-watering first match, as Liverpool travel to London to face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium. Both teams harbour ambitions of challenging for the title this season and this could well be a game they look back on come the end of the campaign that could well be defining. Spurs will be desperate to bounce back from their defeat to Watford before the international break, after conceding two second-half goals to lose 2-1 at Vicarage Road. Liverpool meanwhile are looking to extend their 100% start to the season after beating Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium, surviving a late resurgence from the Foxes. Spurs had the better of the two meetings last year, taking four points from these games, but Liverpool look a far better side this term.

Recommended bet: Liverpool win and both teams to score at 3/1 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Bournemouth vs Leicester City

Bournemouth take on Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium in a game which promises to be an exciting one for the neutral, with plenty of attacking talent on display from both sides. The Cherries boast a front line featuring Ryan Fraser, Josh King and Callum Wilson, while James Maddison, Demarai Gray and Jamie Vardy should all feature for the Foxes in a game which should have goals. Bournemouth were unbeaten prior to their 2-0 loss to Chelsea last time out and come into this game sat in 6th place with seven points. Leicester are 8th with six points after their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, but have performed well in both of their two defeats. We are expecting goals in this contest between two teams that like to get on the front foot.

Recommended bet: Over 2.5 match goals at 4/5 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Chelsea vs Cardiff City

Chelsea and Cardiff will meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in what many punters will have down as their weekend banker result. Chelsea have been excellent at the start of this season, winning each of their first four matches, with only goal difference keeping them off of the top of the table by Liverpool. Last time out, Maurizio Sarri’s team beat Bournemouth 2-0 at Stamford Bridge and will hope for a repeat result against a Cardiff side who have scored just twice in their first four matches. Both of those goals came against Arsenal in their last game before the international break, but ultimately in vein as the Gunners ran out 3-2 winners in south Wales. Neil Warnock’s men showed tremendous fight on that afternoon, but will have to go some to get a result at Chelsea.

Recommended bet: Chelsea to win 3-0 at 6/1 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Huddersfield Town vs Crystal Palace

Two teams in real need of three points meet at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with Huddersfield Town hosting Crystal Palace. The Terriers are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season, taking just two points from their opening four matches but will take heart from the 1-1 draw earned at Everton a fortnight ago. They run into a Crystal Palace side who lost 2-0 at home to Southampton, their third successive defeat in the Premier League and the 10th in a row without Wilfried Zaha in the team. Arguably no other player is more important to his team than what Zaha is at Palace, but with him set to be back in the fold for this weekend, we can see Palace getting a result in this one.

Recommended bet: Wilfried Zaha to score first at 11/2 with BetVictor – BET HERE

Manchester City vs Fulham

After taking 10 points from their first four matches back in the Premier League, Manchester City look on track for yet another strong season as they look to defend their title. The Premier League champions defeated Newcastle in their last game before the international break last time out, winning 2-1 thanks to Kyle Walker’s thunderous effort, although Pep Guardiola will know there is better to come from his team. As for Fulham, they threw away a two-goal lead away at Brighton last time out to draw 2-2 with the Seagulls, in what was a huge missed opportunity for Slavisa Jokanovic’s team to get their second win of the season. At home, City are one of the most feared teams in world football and they will be expecting to take home the three points in this contest.

Recommended bet: Manchester City win and over 3.5 goals at 4/5 with BetVictor – BET HERE

Newcastle United vs Arsenal

Newcastle’s difficult start to the season doesn’t get any easier this weekend as they host Arsenal at St. James’ Park. Having faced Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City in three of their first four games, it’s hardly surprising to see the Geordies sat in the bottom three on one point heading into this weekend. Rafa Benitez’s men have put up a fight against all three of last season’s top-six opponents thus far, losing 2-1 on each occasion and will fancy their chances against an Arsenal side that are arguably the weakest of all of last year’s top-six. They did, however, show real quality in attack last weekend against Cardiff City, winning 3-2 to pick up the second victory of Unai Emery’s reign. That said, the defensive frailties remain a worry and we can see Newcastle unsettling them at stages of this meeting.

Recommended bet: Both teams to score at 8/13 with SkyBet – BET HERE

Watford vs Manchester United

The final game of Saturday’s Premier League action is a compelling one as in-form Watford face under pressure Manchester United at Vicarage Road. The home side have been the early season surprise package, after winning each of their first four games and will be full of confidence, particularly after their come from behind win over Tottenham last time out. It’s been an excellent start for Javi Gracia’s team, who are currently level on points with Liverpool and Chelsea at the top. Meanwhile, Manchester United have had a turbulent beginning, with two wins and two defeats from their first four games, making this a game they must win if they are to avoid losing further ground on their rivals. Watford should have a real go in this contest and we’re expecting fireworks, with United looking suspect defensively early on.

Recommended bet: Both teams to score in both halves at 10/1 with SkyBet – BET HERE
