Championship Round-Up: 19/09/2018

Middlesbrough vs Bolton

Middlesbrough take on Bolton on Wednesday night, as the home team look to get back to winning ways following a run of two games without a win in the Championship. Boro have failed to score during that time also, but remain the heavy favourites to come out on top here at 4/9 with the majority of bookmakers. Meanwhile, Bolton are without a win in three and have dropped to 10th in the Championship table after a poor run of form. They are the outsiders at the Riverside Stadium, being priced as high as 8/1 to come away with the three points on Wednesday. This is a game the home side will expect to take three points from and do so in convincing fashion.

Recommended bet: Middlesbrough to win to nil at 21/20 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Nottingham Forest vs Sheffield Wednesday

There have been fewer more underwhelming teams in the Football League early on this season than Nottingham Forest, who have drawn five of their first seven league outings in the Championship. Aitor Karanka’s team were backed to challenge for promotion after a summer of investment, but currently have just the one victory to their name. Despite that, they are favourites to win here at 10/11 with SkyBet. Sheffield Wednesday are the form side coming into this contest, having taken 10 points from their last four games in the Championship. As such, many will see their price of 3/1 with Ladbrokes as real value against a team that has so far struggled to win games.

Recommended bet: Sheffield Wednesday double chance at 17/20 with Bet365 – BET HERE

QPR vs Millwall

There is just one place between these two sides in the Championship coming into this fixture, with this London derby being particularly important for both teams competing. QPR have won three of their last four games in all competitions, with Steve McClaren’s men entering a recent run of form. They can be backed at 31/20 to make it four wins from five with Bet365. As for Millwall, they are without a win in four games in the Championship, taking just one point during that time which came at home to Leeds at the weekend. The Lions are available to be backed at 29/20 with William Hill.

Recommended bet: QPR to win 2-1 at 9/1 with SkyBet – BET HERE

Sheffield United vs Birmingham City

Sheffield United will take on Birmingham City at Bramall Lane on Wednesday evening looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship. The Blades were beaten 1-0 by Bristol City on their return from the international break, but finished the weekend in fifth after their four-match win streak from before then. The hosts are priced at 9/10 with BetVictor to win their third successive game at Bramall Lane here. Meanwhile, Birmingham are still without a win in the Championship, suffering five draws in their first seven games. They drew 1-1 with West Brom last time out, but at least have the benefit of an extra day’s rest coming into this one. Garry Monk’s men are outsiders at 15/4 with Unibet.

Reading vs Norwich City

Two sides that have seen better times in recent years meet at the Madejski Stadium, although the visitors will be in a confident mood after beating Middlesbrough 1-0 at the weekend. It was just the second win the Canaries have earned all season in the Championship, both of which have come at home. Bet365 have Norwich at 8/5 to get their first away win of the season, while the draw is priced at 23/10. Meanwhile, Reading enter this game off the back of their first win this season, beating Preston 3-2 away from home in an exciting contest. The Royals last won back-to-back games in December 2017, but are priced at 2/1 with Unibet to bring that run to an end here.

Recommended bet: Draw and both teams to score at 3/1 with SkyBet – BET HERE
