Bristol City vs Aston Villa

Both sides come into this one off the back of disappointing defeats at the weekend. Bristol City were defeated 1-0 by Wigan whilst visitors Aston Villa fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday, despite a goal of the season contender from John McGinn. The midfielder is 11/2 to score anytime in this fixture at Ashton Gate. The last time these two teams met, Aston Villa thrashed Bristol City 5-0 courtesy of goals from Scott Hogan, Birkir Bjarnason, Conor Hourihane and a brace from Robert Snodgrass. The home side come into this one as slight favourites at 8/5 whilst Steve Bruce’s side are priced at 187/100 with Bet365.

Recommended Bet- Both teams to score at 4/6 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds

Sheffield Wednesday fans have enjoyed a recent upturn in form as they have 3 wins from their last 5 matches and are only 4 points behind the league leaders. Leeds were left frustrated as they fell to their first defeat of the season, a 2-1 home defeat to Birmingham. You can expect to see a reaction from Marco Biesla’s side, but they face a stiff task against a Sheffield Wednesday side who will be confident of maintaining their recent good form. Both teams to score in this one seems the best bet which is priced at 8/13 with Bet365 or a Leeds win is priced at 23/20 with Bet365.

Recommended Bet- Both teams to score at 8/13 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Birmingham City vs Ipswich Town

Gary Monk’s side ended a run of four straight draws with a shock 2-1 win over Leeds United at Elland Road. A brace from Che Adams proved to be enough, despite a late fightback from the league leaders. Adams is priced at 11/2 to score first which is a very good price against an Ipswich side who are joint bottom of the Championship table and without a win this season. That stat is even more frustrating for Ipswich fans after they were held to a goalless draw at home to Bolton at the weekend. The visitors were reduced to 10 men after 34 minutes, but the home side couldn’t capitalise on the man advantage and remain in the relegation places.

Recommended Bet- Birmingham -1 handicap at 5/2 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Blackburn Rovers vs Nottingham Forest

Blackburn were defeated by Premier League side Bournemouth in midweek but having rest key players during the defeat, they will be hopeful of continuing what has been a solid start to their Championship campaign so far this season. Bradley Dack has been in impressive form recently and is priced at 2/1 to score anytime which is a good price, bare in mind his upturn in form. Nottingham Forest overcame fellow Championship side Stoke City as they won 3-2 in the EFL Cup to progress to the next round. Goals from Ben Osborn, Daryl Murphy and Joe Lolley proved to be enough for Forest who have won their last three matches in all competitions. They are currently in 9th position on 14 points and are above Blackburn only on goal difference. Diogo Goncalves is suspended for this match after receiving a straight red card in the win over Stoke in midweek. Forest will be hoping to turn their away form woes around with only 3 points from their 4 away matches this season.

Recommended Bet- Blackburn to win at 6/5 at Bet365 – BET HERE

Bolton Wanderers vs Derby County

Derby couldn’t have responded in better fashion after their home draw to Blackburn and defeat to Rotherham. They since followed that up with a fine 3-1 win over Brentford and then stole the headlines away from Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United with a shock win on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time. Harry Wilson scored a stunning free kick in normal time to send Derby on their way and Scott Carson saved from Phil Jones to see the Championship side progress. Wilson is best priced at 9/4 to find the back of the net again this weekend. They face a Bolton side who are without a win in five matches and will be keen for an upturn in form but they face a stiff task against Frank Lampard’s side who will be full of confidence after their triumph at Old Trafford. Derby are priced at 19/20 to win this one, which seems a solid price, given the form of the two teams.

Recommended Bet- Harry Wilson to score anytime at 9/4 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Brentford vs Reading

Many would have predicted Brentford to continue their impressive start to the season, but they have failed to win in their last three games in all competitions. They were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Arsenal in midweek, just days after they were left frustrated after falling to a 3-1 defeat at Derby, after leading the game through a Henrik Dalsgaard goal inside the opening minute. The Bees do have a 100% record at home however and will be confident in maintaining that record against a Reading side who have shown some slight resilience recently. Brentford are priced at 11/25 with Bet365 for the win on Saturday, which is a good price, given Reading’s poor form so far this season and Brentford’s strong home run of late. Paul Clement’s Reading will be hoping that frontman Jon Dadi Bodvarsson can keep up his good form with another impressive performance in front of a sold out away following for the Royals. Reading are priced at massive outsiders at 13/2 to steal an unlikely three points.

Recommended Bet- Brentford to win to nil at 8/5 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Hull City vs Middlesbrough

Nigel Adkins is a man under fire, and his side’s 3-0 defeat to his former club Reading certainly didn’t help his cause. Hull were outplayed by the Royals, despite having 3 goals disallowed. With one win in six games, Hull find themselves one place above the relegation places in 21st, but they will need to improve dramatically if they are to get anything from this one. Middlesbrough are unbeaten in three matches in all competitions, which includes a win over Preston North End in the EFL Cup on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time. Boro are priced at 57/50 which against a Hull side that have been the first to concede in 7 out of 8 of their last matches is a very good price.

Recommended Bet- Middlesbrough to win and over 2.5 goals at 11/4 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Millwall vs Sheffield United

Millwall boss Neil Harris has come under increasing pressure from the Millwall supporters after having only won once all season. They currently occupy one of the 3 relegation places and show no signs of an upturn in good form and face a tough ask if they are to turn that form around against a Sheffield United side that are in good form recently. David McGoldrick was the hero for United in their last game, a 3-2 win over bottom side Preston, as he fired in an 87th minute winner to give the home side all 3 points. Sheffield United to win this one is priced at 11/8 with Bet365 whilst a Millwall shock win is priced at 23/10 with Neil Harris’ side hoping to prove the bookies wrong.

Recommended Bet- Sheffield United to win at 11/8 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Norwich City vs Wigan Athletic

Norwich are the form side in the Championship in the last six matches and they will be confident of keeping up their excellent form. They have won their last four matches and are unbeaten in all competitions in their last six matches. That form has largely been down to the good form of striker Teemu Pukki who has netted three times in his last three starts. But he has competition for his place after Jordan Rhodes scored a hat trick against Wycombe Wanderers in their 4-3 win to progress to the next round the EFL Cup. Pukki is 13/10 to score anytime in this one and he comes into this game full of confidence. Wigan come into this one off the back of two wins, most recently, an impressive 1-0 win over Bristol City with Nick Powell who netted his 4th goal in nine games. Norwich are favourites for this game, priced at 13/10, whilst Wigan are priced at 12/5 to come out victorious at Carrow Road.

Recommended Bet- Teemu Pukki to score anytime at 13/10 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Preston North End vs West Brom

Alex Neil’s side come into this one off the back of three successive defeats which have seen Preston slip to the bottom of the table after a narrow 3-2 defeat. Fans will be pleased to see some fighting spirit with Callum Robinson and Daniel Johnson pegging Sheffield United back, but David McGoldrick struck late on to deny Preston a point. West Brom have won their three of their last four league matches, which included a comfortable 2-0 win over Millwall with goals from Kieran Gibbs and Dwight Gayle. The goal was Gayle’s 5th of the season and he will be confident of adding to that tally against a Preston side who have the leakiest defence in the Championship with 18 goals conceded in the league. Gayle to score 2 goals or more is priced at 7/1 and is definitely worth the price. West Brom are priced at 7/5 to win this and move into the play-off positions and it certainly seems a generous price given Preston’s poor start to the season.

Recommended Bet- Gayle to score 2 or more at 7/1 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Swansea City vs QPR

Swansea are currently on a three-game winless run in the Championship and will be hopeful of picking up a much needed three points to keep up with the play-off chasers. Darren Potter’s side have also struggled for goals this season with only 7 goals scored in 9 league games. Oliver McBurnie has scored over half of those goals as he has netted 4 times this season already. So, Darren Potter will be hoping that the likes of Jefferson Montero and Barrie McKay can weigh in with some all-important goals. QPR’s form has improved in recent weeks, and after the loan signings of Tomar Hemed and Nahki Wells, they have solved the issues of a previously goal-shy QPR. Swansea are favourites for this game at 13/10 whilst QPR are priced as outsiders at 5/2 with Bet365. The tip is Swansea to win and with both sides struggling for goals recently, under 2.5 goals seems an obvious bet.

Recommended Bet- Swansea to win and under 2.5 goals at 10/3 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Rotherham United vs Stoke City

At the start of the season you would have predicted Stoke to be high-flying and Rotherham to be struggling, if the pre-season odds were anything to go by. But Gary Rowett’s side come into the weekend’s game in 18th place, whilst the home side are currently sat in 19th position after slipping to 2 narrow wins. The Stoke faithful would have thought their luck was changing after a 1-0 win over Swansea but they slipped to a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Blackburn, with Saido Berahino missing an injury-time penalty to deny Stoke getting a point. Benik Afobe has been in consistent form all this season and is priced at 5/1 to score first against a Rotherham defence that might struggle against the pace of Berahino and Afobe. Stoke are priced at 23/20 to win this one, and despite Gary Rowett’s side being without an away win so far this season, you can expect an attacking display on Saturday.

Recommended Bet- Benik Afobe to score first at 5/1 with Bet365 – BET HERE
