Juventus vs Sampdoria

Two top five Serie A teams go head-to-head as leaders Juventus welcome Sampdoria to the Allianz Stadium. Juventus come into this one after drawing last time out, while Sampdoria head to Turin having won all of their last three games. Despite that fine run of form, it’s Juventus who come into this one as favourites.

Juventus are set for a successful defence of the Serie A title, currently sitting as many as nine points clear of Napoli in second. That’s also after slipping up last time out, drawing with Atlanta, though that wasn’t exactly an embarrassing result. Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off early in the second half and shortly after, Atlanta completed their comeback to take the lead. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored with 12 minutes left on the clock to ensure Juventus remained unbeaten. They have 16 wins and two draws from their first 18 games. Juventus have also won seven of their last eight league games, including victories over Roma and Inter Milan. Juventus are at a slim 3/13 to win here with Unibet.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the Juventus scoring charts this season with 12 league goals to his name, including one last time out. The Portuguese superstar is 23/10 with Betfair to open the scoring here. Mario Mandzukic has also impressed again this season, scoring eight league goals and he’s at 11/10 with Unibet to score at any time in this one. In five of their last six outings, Juventus have scored exactly one goal and they are 9/4 with Bet365 to score under 1.5 goals again here.

Sampdoria are enjoying a fine season, sitting in fifth place and just two points off the top four. They have a one-point gap over AC Milan as things stand and they will likely need to pick up points here to keep it that way. It will be a big ask in Turin, but Sampdoria do head there in a confident mood having won all of their last three games, and they are also six without defeat. Last time out, they beat Chievo 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Fabio Quagliarella and Gaston Ramirez. Sampdoria are at a very long 18/1 with Bet Victor to become the first team to beat Juventus this season.

Veteran striker Fabio Quagliarella leads the scoring for Sampdoria this season with an impressive 11 goals, that’s just two less than Cristiano Ronaldo. Quagliarella is at 4/1 to score at any time with Bet365 here. Gregoire Defrel has also impressed this season, netting six times and he’s 6/1 to score with Black Type. Former Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez has scored three this season, including one last time out. He’s at 17/2 with Bet365 to score in back-to-back games. Sampdoria have now scored two or more goals in each of their last six games. It’ll prove a tough task to match this given the opposition this weekend, but Atlanta did manage it last time out. Sampdoria are 7/1 to score over 1.5 goals here.
