Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid

Sevilla and Atletico Madrid return from La Liga’s winter break to go head-to-head in what’s setup to be the game of the weekend in Spain. Sevilla currently sit third in the table, just two five points behind leaders Barcelona and two points behind second-placed Atletico Madrid. They have the chance to take back second spot this weekend and they are 9/5 to make that happen with a win with Bet365 here. Sevilla picked up a disappointing 1-1 draw with Leganes last time out. Atletico Madrid come into this one looking to maintain second spot and close the gap between them and the leaders. Atleti beat Espanyol 1-0 in their last game before the break and they are 9/5 with Betfair to win here. Betvictor are offering the best chance for a draw at 11/5.

Barcelona return to action looking to extend their lead over Atletico Madrid in top spot. Valverde’s men haven’t exactly enjoyed the perfect season, but in a rather unpredictable La Liga campaign, they’ve done enough to top the standings. Barca beat Celta Vigo in their last game before the break and they are a slim 4/11 with Sky Bet to win here. This should be a straightforward win for Barca, but Getafe would like to have a say in changing that fate. They are enjoying a fine season, sitting up in 7th place, just three points behind Alaves in fifth. Getafe come into this one after drawing with Girona last time out and they may fancy themselves to cause an upset. They are a long 15/2 to win with Betfair and 17/4 to grab a draw with Bet365.

Recommended bet: Barcelona to win 3-1 @ 11/1 with SkyBet – BET HERE

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

It’s been a season to forget so far for Real Madrid, who sit fourth in the table, on their second manager and as many as seven points off leaders Barcelona. Real could have significantly narrowed that gap with their game in-hand on Thursday evening, However, they could only manage a 2-2 draw with Villarreal away from home and that’s only the latest of their frustrating results this season. Real Madrid are priced at a slim 4/11 with Sky Bet to get back on track with a home win here. Real Sociedad come into this one having endured a disappointing season of their own. They are as far down as 15th in the table and only three points above the relegation zone. Before the break, Sociedad lost 1-0 to high-flying Alaves. La Real are a long 17/2 with Betfair to win here, while Bet 365 are offering 5/1 on a draw.

Recommended bet: One-goal winning margin @ 21/10 with Betway – BET HERE

Eibar vs Villarreal

Villarreal are having one of their worst seasons in over a decade, sitting 17th in the table and only goal difference outside the relegation zone. The Yellow Submarine were inside the relegation zone going into the break, but a draw with Real Madrid in their game in-hand on Tuesday saw them leapfrog Athletic Club. Santi Cazorla put Villarreal ahead in that one, before finding a late equaliser after Real had turned the game around. Caretaker boss Luis Garcia Plaza will be hoping that’s a turning point in Villarreal’s season. The Yellow Submarine are priced at 28/11 with Unibet to win here. Eibar come into this one placed 13 in the table, five points ahead of Villarreal and indeed the relegation zone. Last time out, the Basque club drew 1-1 with Real Betis, making it three straight drawns following stalemates with Levante and Valencia. Eibar are favourites at 11/10 with Bet365 here, but given their recent record of draws, it may be more worth backing a draw at 9/4.

Recommended bet: Draw @ 9/4 with Bet365 – BET HERE
