Blackpool vs Rochdale

Terry McPhillips’ Blackpool host Keith Hill’s struggling Rochdale as two sides in mid-table go head-to-head at Bloomfield Road. The hosts, priced at 11/10 with William Hill, are unbeaten in their last eight matches. Whilst Rochdale, priced at 5/2 with Betfair, have been struggling recently and are now without a win in three League One matches. Blackpool have not played since last weekend after their midweek fixture with Gillingham was called off, but the former Premier League side will be fresh and raring to go against a struggling Rochdale side who drew 0-0 in their last match and prior to that were on the end of a 3-1 beating at home to Portsmouth and a 4-1 hammering away to Sunderland. The draw can be backed at 23/10 with Unibet, but we like Blackpool to win this one at a canter, with both halves going in favour of the hosts.

Recommended bet: Blackpool HT/FT @ 23/10 with William Hill – BET HERE

Bradford City vs Sunderland

Valley Parade hosts Bradford City vs Sunderland for the first league game between the pair since 2003. The sides last met in 2015, where Bradford beat the Black Cats 2-0 in the FA Cup. However, the hosts, priced at 31/10 with Unibet, face a different beast here and Jack Ross’s side, priced at 10/11 with Paddy Power, are unbeaten in three and on the hunt for yet another win on the road this term. The Black Cats have lost just once in 11 games, but five draws have kept them off the top of the table and another stalemate here is priced at 13/5 with Bet Victor. We are backing the away side, who are undefeated in three, to win this one, with 19-year-old talisman Josh Maja to make it nine goals for the season with the first goal of the afternoon.

Recommended bet: Josh Maja to score first at 7/2 with Sky Bet – BET HERE

Bristol Rovers vs Walsall

Two of League One’s struggling sides from recent weeks clash at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Bristol Rovers, priced at evens with Paddy Power, look for their third win of the campaign against a Walsall side, priced at 13/5 with Bet 365, who started the season well but are now without a win in two matches. Rovers have drawn back-to-back games without finding the net as of late and their striker woes have been the reasoning for their poor form. Walsall also drew 0-0 last time out against Shrewsbury Town and a win here is important to get the seventh-placed side back on track. We are predicting a tight match, but with Walsall running out 2-1 winners over the 90 minutes.

Recommended bet: Walsall to win 2-1 at 11/1 with Paddy Power – BET HERE

Charlton Athletic vs Coventry City

The Valley hosts an intriguing tie between eighth-placed Charlton Athletic and 14th-placed Coventry City as two sides with big hopes of reaching a playoff spot go head-to-head in an important clash. Both sides will play their third game in just one week when they meet this weekend and both have managed just one point from two games. Charlton were beaten 5-3 in a thrilling match against Scunthorpe United last time out, whilst City were beaten at home to Portsmouth. Charlton drew 2-2 with Luton Town last weekend and Mark Robins’ Coventry picked up a good point against high-flyers Sunderland. The draw between the pair can be priced at 5/2 with Betway, whilst Charlton are 11/10 with William Hill and Coventry at 11/4 with Bet 365. We like over 2.5 goals in this one, which is priced at 6/7 with Bet 365, with neither side having the sturdiest of defences this term.

Recommended bet: Over 2.5 goals at 6/7 with Bet 365 – BET HERE

Doncaster Rovers vs Fleetwood Town

The Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster sees an intriguing clash between Grant McCann’s Doncaster Rovers and Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town. The hosts are in an excellent position in third-place in the third tier, whilst Fleetwood were also high-flyers but after a winless run which has now stretched to five, Town are now in 13th in the table. However, a win for Barton’s side would not only get them back into the mix of the top ten, but also breathe some confidence into the side that looked so dangerous after six games. They face a tough task on the road against favourites Doncaster, priced at 8/11 with Paddy Power. The draw is 11/4 with William Hill and a win for the Cod Army is a 15/4 shot with Bet 365. We like the hosts to win this one, but with both teams to score in the game, which has been a feature of Rovers’ games.

Recommended bet: Doncaster Rovers to win and both teams to score at 3/1 with Sky Bet – BET HERE

Luton Town vs Scunthorpe United

Kenilworth Road hosts an intriguing tie between Luton Town and Scunthorpe United, two of the best performing sides from the past month. The travelling side are best priced at 9/2 with Paddy Power to win this one after an undefeated run which has now stretched to seven, but they face a tough task to defy a Luton side who are impressive at home and are now unbeaten in four. The sides last met in a league match back in 2002 when Scunthorpe ran out 3-2 winners in the corresponding fixture and we are anticipating an exciting match which will be full of goals, but that will eventually swing the way of United, who have looked excellent in recent weeks.

Recommended bet: Scunthorpe United to win at 9/2 with Paddy Power – BET HERE

Peterborough vs Barnsley

Steve Evans’ impressive Peterborough United side return to the ABAX Stadium after fighting back to pick up a point against league rivals Sunderland in midweek. They play another tough game, their third within the space of a week, against Barnsley, who are another side who will be looking to return to the Championship at the first time of asking this term. The away side are best priced at 11/10 with Unibet after their recent 1-1 draw with Plymouth in midweek, whilst Peterborough, priced at 5/2 with Betfair, will be hoping to get back to winning ways here. The game promises to be yet another exciting one in the 12th instalment of third tier action and we like both teams to score in this match, with plenty of goals on the menu.

Recommended bet: Both teams to score at 4/7 with Betway – BET HERE

Plymouth Argyle vs AFC Wimbledon

League One relegation favourites Plymouth Argyle will be looking to build on their 1-1 draw away to Barnsley in midweek as they look to get themselves out of the bottom three in the coming weeks. The away side will be confident they can kick-start what has been a poor campaign so far this term with a win away from home against a struggling Argyle. Derek Adams’ side beat Wimbledon here earlier this season in an excellent match for the neutral which ended 4-2. However, with the hosts one of the only sides in the Football League who are yet to of won a game this term, we like Wimbledon draw no bet in this one. The hosts can be backed at 19/10 with Bet 365, whilst the draw is 5/2 with Bet Victor and an away win is 7/5 with Unibet.

Recommended bet: AFC Wimbledon draw no bet at 8/11 with Sky Bet – BET HERE

Portsmouth vs Gillingham

The only undefeated side remaining in League One return to Fratton Park to defend their 12-match unbeaten record and their top of the table status against a Gillingham side in dire form and without a win in their last eight matches. Kenny Jackett’s side beat Coventry away from home and that win was a hard-fought one, showing a different side to their usual attacking game. The former Premier League side are priced at 4/9 with Paddy Power and the draw can be backed at 7/2 with Betfair. The away side, who won here in March of last season by a 3-1 scoreline, picked up their first point in six third tier matches and can be backed at 11/2 with Betfair. The hosts are one of the bankers of the footballing weekend on paper and we anticipate Jackett’s side to win both halves in emphatic fashion.

Recommended bet: Portsmouth HT/FT at 13/10 with Bet Victor – BET HERE

Shrewsbury Town vs Accrington Stanley

John Coleman’s Accrington Stanley travel to Greenhous Meadow in search of their 11th undefeated tie, as well as their fourth consecutive win. They face off against a struggling Shrewsbury Town side, who have drawn their last two, but are priced at 5/4 with Betway. At least a point for the hosts is a must, with Shrewsbury currently flirting with the drop zone in 20th and that can be backed as high as 9/4 with Unibet, whilst an away win is priced at 5/2 with Paddy Power. Shrewsbury done the double over their opponents last time they met back in 2015 in League Two, but we are backing the away side to continue to live out their fairy-tale as they go in search of back-to-back promotions from the fourth and third tiers of English Football.

Recommended bet: Accrington Stanley to win at 23/10 with William Hill – BET HERE

Southend United vs Oxford United

Chris Powell’s resurgent Southend United side return to Roots Hall to face off against an Oxford United side who have won just once in 11 matches this season and currently it in 23rd position. The hosts, priced at 7/8 with William Hill, are now on a three-game win streak and a recent 2-1 win away to Burton Albion was their second successive away win in just four days after beating Wycombe 3-2 last weekend. Oxford have lost back-to-back away games by a 2-1 scoreline, and are now without a point in four matches, so a win here is vital to give themselves a chance of survival even at this early stage. The away side are priced at a hefty 16/5 with Betfair, whilst the draw is 11/4 with Unibet. We think the game could be tight, with Oxford fighting for their League One status, but we are backing the hosts to come out victorious.

Recommended bet: Southend United to win at 4/5 with Paddy Power – BET HERE

Wycombe Wanderers vs Burton Albion

Two draw specialists meet in the 12th round of third tier matches this weekend as Wycombe Wanderers face off against Burton Albion at Adams Park in High Wycombe. The hosts are without a win in six matches and despite sitting inside the relegation zone, could’ve found themselves much higher up the table had they took their chances in the six matches they’ve drawn. Wycombe are priced at 17/10 with William Hill, whilst the away side who were in good form before being beaten at home by Southend in midweek, are priced at 13/8 with Paddy Power. However, we like the draw in this one between two sides who have drawn eight games accumulatively.

Recommended bet: Match to be drawn at 12/5 with Unibet – BET HERE
