West Ham v Manchester United Betting Preview – 10/05/18

West Ham v Manchester United

West Ham have had a disappointing season this time out but will be definitely playing Premier League football for another season after Swansea lost 1-0 to Southampton on Tuesday night. The Hammers will still be looking to finish the season on that elusive 40 point mark however, an achievement they can easily reach with two draws in their remaining two games or with a win over the Red Devils here. David Moyes’ men will feel as though this is the perfect time to face United after Jose Mourinho’s men were humbled at Brighton last week.

Confidence is also high for the Londoners after they beat Leicester away from home at the weekend thanks to a stunning strike from captain Mark Noble. It’s unlikely they’ll go down this term as the teams below them have got a much trickier fixture on the seasons final day this weekend, however they won’t want to take any chances. Two draws in their remaining two games would be enough to cement their stance in the top tier for another season, will David Moyes get one over on his former side here?

Manchester United have played second fiddle to fierce rivals Manchester City all season but are still on course to win silverware with the FA Cup final looming next week. Jose Mourinho’s men have been largely inconsistent this time out but would secure a second place finish with a victory in this game. The visitors will be keen to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Brighton last Friday night, their performance at the Amex was inexcusable in that fixture so a reaction has to be imminent here.

United’s main aim now will be to win the FA Cup in 11 days time, so they could well rest some of their key players in their final two matches to prevent the risk of injury. One man that will definitely miss this clash is front man Romelu Lukaku, he’s been ever present in United’s starting XI for the whole campaign and bagged a brace in the reverse fixture of this tie back in August. However after being forced off with an ankle injury against Arsenal a fortnight ago, Lukaku is still recovering in the hope he will be fit for his sides cup final with Chelsea.
