Premier League Round-Up: Saturday 22/09/2018

Fulham vs Watford

Fulham meet Watford at Craven Cottage, as both teams look to bounce back from defeats last weekend. Fulham were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City, while Watford saw their 100% start come to an end with a 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester United. Despite Watford’s higher place in the table, it is Fulham who are the favourites to win here at 6/4 with Paddy Power. Meanwhile, the Hornets are 15/8 with William Hill. We’re favouring goals in this one, with a number of dangerous marksmen lining up for both teams.

Recommended bet: Aleksandar Mitrovic to score anytime at 13/10 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Burnley vs Bournemouth

It’s been a terrific start to the new season for Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth, who currently sit fifth in the Premier League table after five games. The Cherries have won three of their first five games, including a convincing 4-2 victory over Leicester City last time out. As such, the away side are favoured to win at 17/10 with Betfair. Meanwhile, Burnley are still searching for their first three points in the Premier League, losing 1-0 to Wolves in their previous outing. They return home here as the underdogs, being as high as 2/1 to win here with BetVictor.

Cardiff City vs Manchester City

Cardiff City face arguably their toughest test of the new season so far this weekend when they take on Manchester City this weekend. Cardiff are yet to win this season and were thrashed 4-1 by Chelsea last time out, with this being third successive game against a top-six opponent. They are priced as high as 22/1 with Betfair to take the three points in this one. Understandably, Man City are heavy favourites coming into this contest, despite losing 2-1 at home to Lyon in the Champions League last time out. They have 13 points from their first five games and are as short as 1/6 to win here with SkyBet.

Recommended bet: Manchester City to win 3-0 at 6/1 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United

The influence of Wilfried Zaha at Crystal Palace is greater than any other individual player at any other team in the Premier League. Zaha scored the winner as Palace beat Huddersfield 1-0 last time out and he has started the season in exceptional form, bagging three goals in four appearances. The home side are favoured at 11/10 with Ladbrokes to win here. They face a Newcastle side that are yet to pick up a win this season, losing 2-1 to Arsenal last time out. However, they have faced one of last term’s top-six sides in four of their first five games, making it hard to judge them early on. Newcastle are priced at 11/4 with BetVictor to take three points in this contest.

Recommended bet: Wilfried Zaha to score anytime at 7/4 with Bet365 – BET HERE

Leicester City vs Huddersfield Town

Leicester produced their most disappointing performance of the season by a distance last time out, after falling to a 4-2 defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. The defeat is their third of the season so far, after also falling to losses against Liverpool and Manchester United thus far. Claude Puel’s team are currently priced at 6/10 to win with William Hill. That is because they are facing a Huddersfield side who are yet to win this season and lost 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace last time out. The Terriers have scored just two goals in five games so far this term and have really struggled early on. They aren’t anticipated to get anything from this contest, being priced at 11/2 to win with Bet365.

Recommended bet: James Maddison to score anytime at 13/8 with SkyBet – BET HERE

Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool will be looking to defend their 100% start to the new Premier League season on Saturday afternoon, after beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The Reds are level on points with Chelsea at the top of the table, with Maurizio Sarri’s side currently having the edge on goal difference. Liverpool are overwhelming favourites, as is reflected by their 2/11 price with Coral. That is because Southampton have just one win in five all season and will also be without star forward Danny Ings, who has three goals in four starts this season, due to him being ineligible to face his parent club. Mark Hughes’ team let a two-goal lead slip against Brighton on Monday night and have lost more points from winning positions than any other side in the Premier League since Hughes took charge. Ladbrokes have them at 16/1 to get a win at Anfield.

Recommended bet: Liverpool win to nil at 5/6 with SkyBet – BET HERE

Manchester United vs Wolves

Manchester United come into their meeting against Wolves on Saturday off the back of three straight victories in all competitions. The home side defeated Young Boys 3-0 in the Champions League in midweek thanks to a terrific performance from Paul Pogba, who will they will hope can have a similar impact in this contest. United can be backed at 3/5 with BetVictor to win their fourth game on the bounce on Saturday. They face a Wolves side that will be hoping to upset a second Manchester club this season, after holding City to a 1-1 draw at Molineux earlier in the campaign. Nuno’s team have won the three games that have followed since then, including a 1-0 victory against Burnley last time out. However, they aren’t fancied here, as the 11/2 price Bet365 are offering on them to win at Old Trafford reflects.

Recommended bet: Manchester United HT/Manchester United FT at 5/4 with SkyBet – BET HERE

Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur

The final game on Saturday sees Brighton take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex Stadium, with the hosts coming into this game off of two straight 2-2 draws in the Premier League. They have been forced to come from behind on both occasions against Southampton and Fulham, as they now look to secure a second significant scalp at home of the season, having also beat Manchester United earlier in the campaign. They have an outside chance of doing so according to BetVictor, who have them at 4/1 to win. That may well represent good value, with Tottenham coming into this game on a three-game losing streak in all competitions. Most recently, they fell to a 2-1 lead away to Inter Milan in the Champions League, having initially taken the lead in the game. Despite their poor form, Spurs are favourites at 7/9 with Unibet.

Recommended bet: Glenn Murray and Harry Kane to score at 7/2 with SkyBet – BET HERE
