Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge desperate for three points when Chelsea host Manchester United in Saturday’s early kick off.

Mourinho’s United side come into this one 7 points off the top 3 after just 8 games so far this season so cannot afford to drop any more points here whilst Mauricio Sarri remains undefeated so far in his reign as Chelsea boss and a result here will put the Blues top of the Premier League table for a couple of hours at least.

Chelsea come into this one level on points with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table. The Blues sit on 20 points after their opening 8 Premier League matches, 6 wins and 2 draws, and have emerged as somewhat surprise challengers to City and Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.

Mauricio Sarri’s side have adapted effortlessly into the Italian’s style of play since he took over at the start of the Premier League season. The Italians system has allowed more freedom to the Blues’ star man Eden Hazard who will look to steal the show again here.

The Belgian is currently the Leagues top scorer with 7 goals in the first 8 Premier League matches and got the winner when these two sides met in the FA Cup Final so will be expected to add to his tally here. The Belgian is currently best priced at 11/8 with Skybet, Betfred and Betway to score anytime and available at 4/1 to get the first goal in this one.

Jose Mourinho may however set up his side specifically to stop Chelsea’s attacking players such as Hazard, so it could be a low scoring game in this one. Under 2.5 goals has landed in 8 of the last 10 matches between these two, so that could be a smart bet to back here. Under 2.5 goals is priced at 21/20 across most major bookmakers with over 2.5 goals best priced at 5/6 with Betvictor.

Manchester United’s 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle before the international break relieved some of the pressure on boss Jose Mourinho ahead of the international break. Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and a stoppage time winner from Alexis Sanchez rescued the Red Devils after finding themselves 2-0 down inside the first 10 minutes. United will be hoping that result can give them confidence as they come into their toughest test of the season so far.

The Red Devils have had a number of problems all over the pitch this season. Despite getting on the scoresheet in all but one of their Premier League matches so far this season they’ve conceded 14 goals in their opening 8 matches, the joint 4th highest across the division, so both teams to score could be a good bet here. Both teams to score is best priced at 3/4 with Bet365 with most other major bookmakers available at prices at 8/11.

Alexis Sanchez’ problems have been well documented during this campaign. The Chilean internationals stoppage time winner against Newcastle was his first of the season and he’s looked a shadow of his former self since his move from Arsenal in January. That goal against Newcastle could be the confidence booster he needs to get back to his best and will be looking to add to that tally here. If you fancy the United Winger to score in this one he’s best priced at 4/1 with Unibet and 888 Sport and at a further 11/1 to open the scoring.

Jose Mourinho has lost all three of his visits to Stamford Bridge as United manager and also saw his United side beaten by the Blues in the FA Cup final so will be out for revenge here. United are priced as far back as 17/4 with Betvictor and Bet365 to get the win in this one with United to win or draw available at 13/11 with Unibet if you fancy Mourinho to get any kind of result here.

The home side still remain firm favourites for this one, best priced at 3/4 with Bet365, Betfair and Betway for Sarri to pick up another win for himself here. The draw is available at 3/1 with Betfair and Betfred if you fancy a stalemate.
