Vorskla vs Arsenal

Premier League Arsenal travel to Ukraine to take on Vorskla having already qualified for the next stage of this season’s Europa League competition, but Unai Emery’s men will be keen on finishing as Group E undefeated winners ahead of main rivals Sporting. Vorskla need a win to stay alive in the group, but undeniably face an obvious uphill task to defy the obvious classier side here. The sides have already met in this competition back in September and the tie ended in a six-goal thriller, with the Gooners running out 4-2 winners at the Emirates Stadium.

Vasyl Sachko’s Vorskla are struggling in both their Ukrainian top-flight campaign and also the Europa League thus far and the 4/1 outsiders with Bet365 look to be facing an uphill task against Arsenal after losing all three of their recent matches and failing to score in any of them. However, they’ll be looking to take positives from their match at the Emirates back in September, when this week’s hosts caused some clear problems, before eventually running out 4-2 losers. Vorskla will need to perhaps outscore their opponents and also hope the travelling team will potentially take their foot of the gas having already qualified and over 3.5 goals in this one is 5/2 with Bet Victor and is a bet we like. When Vorskla have won games this term, their wins have often been with both teams to score and that bet here is 10/11 with William Hill.

Spearheading the Vorskla attacks here will be talisman Yuri Kolomoets, who has bagged four goals in 13 appearances for the Ukrainian side and the 28-year-old is 17/2 with Bet365 to score first here. Other standout attackers in the Vorskla set-up are Mykhaylo Sergiychuck, who is 11/1 to score first here – whilst no goal-scorer in this tie is 10/1 with Coral.

Arsenal made what arguably was a leap of faith when they parted ways with long-term manager Arsene Wenger at the end of last season – but so far in this new campaign, new appointment Emery looks to be a really good move by the Arsenal board. The Gooners are going quite well in the English top-flight and sit in fifth, but their eyes will be firmly set on potentially picking up a huge European trophy in this competition this season – which would be huge for a club who have been under pressure in recent years.  Arsenal are already qualified for the next round of the competition, but still remain as the 2/3 favourites here with Unibet and that could be a good bet with Emery no doubt making sure his side guard against complacency in order to keep up momentum for all competitions they find themselves in.

Arsenal’s recent matches have included a 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth last weekend – with that same scoreline 8/1 with Bet Victor – a 1-1 draw against Wolves and a 0-0 draw with Sporting in their last Europa League tie. Other standout selections we like include the Gooners to keep a clean sheet at 11/10 with Sky Bet, as well as the visitors to win both halves at 17/10 with Betfair. The players spearheading the Arsenal attacks will be joint-highest Premier League scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is 7/2 with Sky Bet to score first here, whilst his teammate Alexandre Lacazette is 15/4 with Bet365 to notch first. Other obvious threats in Emery’s side lie in the form of Emile Smith-Rowe, who will be looking to continue to stake his name for a place in the first-team and is a big 8/1 with Betfair to score first, whilst Mesut Ozil is a big 17/2 to be first goal-scorer with Bet 365.
