Neymar refuses to rule out Manchester United move (4*)
Reports in Spain are hinting at Paris Saint Germain forward Neymar considering a move to Manchester United after a proposed Barcelona transfer fell apart through the club signing Antoine Griezmann. The current state of Manchester United makes it hard to imagine much truth behind the rumours – especially with the club now playing in the Europa League – but he could apparently be tempted into moving away in order to escape the shadow of Kylian Mbappe in Paris. Aston Villa fall short in opening bid for Tom Heaton (8*)
Efforts to strengthen their squad almost every single day of the current transfer window has shown an Aston Villa side that want to stay up. Burnley’s Tom Heaton is the man they’ve chosen as the ideal candidate between the sticks after scouting a vast selection of options, but their opening £8 million bid has fallen short of Burnley’s £12 million valuation. Leroy Sane given green light to seal Bayern Munich transfer (5*)
Although many expected Pep Guardiola to halt a potential move away for Leroy Sane, it could be the case that Manchester City allow the player to leave. A fee in the region of £100 million is being prepared for the German international, and it feels like it would be difficult to stop him from leaving to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The twenty-three-year-old has masses of potential, but with several players at Man City ahead of him, his playing time has been numbered. (Mirror)
Willian’s Chelsea future yet to be decided (6*)
Further ties to Barcelona make the upcoming season uncertain for Chelsea winger Willian. It was assumed that Frank Lampard would look to retain the Brazilian due to the transfer ban imposed on the club by FIFA, but various sources are saying that he could decide to cash in on the player, with it primarily being down to the current selection of players at the club, and whether it would make the most sense to take the £30 million bid from Barca. Fiorentina make approach for Fernando Llorente (7*)
Available on a free transfer after being released by Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season, Fernando Llorente is picking up interest from Italy. Fiorentina lead the race for his signature, and the move makes sense for the thirty-four-year-old, as Italy has become widely known for getting the best out of older players. He previously played in the Serie A with Juventus, so it’s assumed he could be tempted with a return to the division. (Gianluca Di Marzio)
