Recent Form

The last time the Texans reached the post-season was in 2016, in which they won their Wild Card matchup, but they were defeated by the New England Patriots in the Divisional matchup.

In their final regular season game, the Texans faced the Jacksonville Jaguars and won 20-3 which secure their place in the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2016. DeShaun Watson had 234 passing yards on 25/35 throwing as he ran for one touchdown.

Watson also lead the team in rushing yards with 66 on 13 carries. DeAndre Hopkins lead in receiving yards with 147 on 12 receptions, however, he was unable to get into the end zone.

As for the Indianapolis Colts, this is their first playoff berth since 2014 – a playoff run that seen them reach the Conference Championship, but they were ultimately defeated by the New England Patriots just like the Texans were in 2016.

The Colts played their final regular season game on Monday against the Tennessee Titans and were victorious, 33-17. Andrew Luck had 285 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception on 24/35 throwing.

Marlon Mack lead the game in rushing yards with 119 on 25 carries, the running back also managed to rush for one touchdown. Dontrelle Inman lead all receivers in yards with 77 on five receptions he also scored one touchdown.

Team News

Buddy Howell and Keke Coutee are both questionable for the Colts matchup, both players have hamstring injuries.

Tyquan Lewis and Ryan Grant have both been ruled out of the game according to the NFL’s injury report. Malik Hooker, T.Y. Hilton, Clayton Geathers, Jabaal Sheard, Dontrelle Inman, J.J Wilcox and Zach Pascal have all been ruled questionable.

Prediction

We’re predicting the Houston Texans to win this one. Ultimately we think that J.J. Watt will be the man to watch, if he can get to Andrew Luck has he has been doing to other QBs around the league all this season then the Texans will win this matchup.
