Love Island 2020 Betting Odds and Markets

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s back.

Love Island has returned to our screens a little earlier than usual this year, with the first ever winter-edition of the TV Series airing last Sunday night. The layout of the show is virtually identical, with the exception of a new host, and the objective has also remained the same. No, it’s not who can be the biggest tool on tele, but instead, to try and win the public’s vote and become the winning Love Island couple.

It may be a little early to be picking out the eventual winners, so we’ve looked into some SkyBet specials instead.

Ollie Williams 1st male eliminated – 1/2

When the contestants are inside the Love Island villa, they are completely shut out from the outside world. For Ollie Williams, this is probably for the best. Before even dipping a single toe into the swimming pool, the farmer quickly became hated online after numerous pictures of him trophy hunting surfaced all over social media.

Fans, former contestants and even those who have no interest in the show have publicly been calling for ITV2 to remove the contestant, with many being outraged at such images. It’s fair to say that Ollie has become one of the most disliked members of the cast already, with his ‘posh tory’ persona not helping sway fans onto his side.

Despite not doing much wrong in the opening episode, he is already fighting a losing battle. At 1/2, he is the big favourite to be the first male eliminated from the show, once voting is open.

Mike Boateng top male – 7/4

Leading the ‘Top Male’ betting market is policeman Mike Boateng. The 28-year-old was revelling in all the plaudits on social media after the first episode, with many warming towards his bubbly and jokey personality. Having also revealed that he used to be a professional footballer, we are sure that plenty of lads sitting at home could relate to his ‘chatting up’ techniques.

Mike coupled up with the shy-looking Leanne Amaning, with many on Twitter advocating for the two to flourish. At 25/1, their price to win as a couple is certainly high, but the bookies are clearly favouring Mike to go the distance. Leanne is the biggest underdog at 16/1 to be the Top Female, so perhaps the policeman will find somebody else to steal the show with.

Winning Couple to be coupled up with each other in episode 1 – 7/2

Fancy the opening couples to go all the way? SkyBet are offering 7/2 on the winning couple being coupled with each other in episode one. The shortest price found on a current couple to win is Callum Jones and Shaughna Phillips at 6/1. Callum favoured Shaughna over Siannise Fudge, with the two girls stepping forward for the scaffolder. Shaughna is clearly keen, having already admitted that her ‘head is gone’, after spending just one day with her younger lad.

Connor Durman and Sophie Piper are next in line at 8/1, but the former seemingly got annoyed at one point in the opening episode. He wasn’t afraid to voice his opinion when he felt that he was being ‘digged out’ by his partner, so the two haven’t got off to the strongest start.

When looking at the other couples, there was seemingly a lack of attraction between the following contestants. Ollie has already started to sway towards Siannise, who looks to have no interest in pursuing things with Nas Majeed.
