Our first tip takes us to the Bundesliga, where Borussia Monchengladbach host high-flying Freiburg, who currently occupies fifth place and therefore are in a good position to once again qualify for the Europa League next year.

Freiburg have been in good form as of late, with four wins from their last six matches, which does not bode well for Gladbach. Gladbach themselves have just two wins from their last six league matches, and have conceded 12 goals across those six outings.

Therefore, we think that this in-form Freiburg side will find it easy to score goals in this game, and we are backing forward Lucas Holer to get in on the act. Holer has scored three goals in his side’s last five league outings, with goals coming against Augsburg, Borussia Dortmund and Bochum. So we predict that the German will carry on his fine run of goalscoring form against Monchengladbach this Saturday.

One of seven Ligue 1 fixtures being played out this Sunday, Stade Reims’ meeting with the struggling Corsicans should turn out to be a simple win for “Les Rouges Et Blancs”.

Will Still’s side have had a decent league campaign, with the highlight so far coming in the form of their two draws with perennial champions PSG, with Folarin Balogun scoring a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a point in the sides’ most recent meeting at the end of January.

The Arsenal loanee has been Reims’ standout player with 15 league goals to his name, putting him ahead of both Lionel Messi and Neymar. Now four of Balogun’s last five league goals have come in the second half of matches, so we think he will do so again in this match, especially given Ajaccio’s defensive frailties.

Our third tip is for the Serie A clash between Roma and Juventus this Sunday.

Both sides know that the title is long gone by now, so instead, they have now turned their full focus on to securing Champions League qualification for next season now. Roma currently lead that race as they sit in fifth place, with the Old Lady two places behind in seventh.

Now Vlahovic and Dybala are arguably the best players in their respective teams, and so in such a high-stakes fixture, expect their quality to shine through. The duo both have eight goals so far this season, and we expect both men to add to that tally in the Italian capital this weekend.

Vlahovic did score in the reverse fixture back in August, while Dybala has scored two in his last 5 outings and will relish the chance to do so against his old employers.

Kicking off Sunday’s day of La Liga action is Real Valladolid and Espanyol, with the relegation-threatened home side hosting 12th-place Espanyol.

Espanyol should come out with a win from this match, and we think that the pair of Sergi Darder and Martin Braithwaite will contribute to that win. Braithwaite has scored seven goals so far this season, while Darder has contributed four from central midfield. And the majority of those goals have come in Espanyol’s last six league outings, with one of either Braithwaite or Darder scoring in five of Espanyol’s last six matches.

Darder has scored two, while Braithwaite has four. In such great form and against a poor side in Valladolid, we expect the duo to get in on the goalscoring act once again.

Our final tip involves a Dutch derby, with Rotterdam-based sides Excelsior and Sparta doing battle this weekend.

Excelsior have a tough time in the top-flight since their promotion last season, losing 15 matches so far and sitting just outside the relegation zone. City rivals Sparta have had a much better season than both their rivals and in comparison to their performances last season – they currently sit sixth in the Eredivisie, whereas at this stage last season, they were bottom.

We expect Sparta to emerge from this derby with an easy win, and their top-scorer Vito Van Crooij to play a key role in doing so. Van Crooij has eight goals to his name this season, and considering the fact that their opponents are in poor form and that he will want to get on the scoresheet in a derby after failing to do so in the reverse fixture earlier this season, we think that Van Crooij will score in this one and lead his team to victory.
