Super6 Round 46 Predictions

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Luton Town

On Saturday, Tottenham Hotspur host Luton Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is expected to be a routine victory for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Spurs ran out as 1-0 victors when these two teams met at Kenilworth Road back in early October as Micky van de Ven scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd-minute after Yves Bissouma’s first half red card.

Luton have the fifth-worst away record of any side in the Premier League, picking up just 10 points from 14 matches, while Tottenham have won 10 of their 14 home matches, scoring 29 goals in the process.

Chelsea 3-1 Burnley

Chelsea will be aiming for another emphatic win over Burnley when these two sides meet at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues earned a 4-1 win over Burnley at Turf Moor earlier on in the campaign and will be looking to take advantage of the fact that Vincent Kompany’s men have picked up just nine points from 14 Premier League games - the second-worst record in the division.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have managed to beat Leicester City 4-2, as well as both Newcastle and Leeds by 3-2 scorelines in their last three home matches. Could they carry on this goalscoring form?

Aston Villa 2-0 Wolves

Champions League chasing Aston Villa take on Wolves at Villa Park on Saturday.

Aston Villa have the fourth-best home form of any side in the division, picking up 31 points from 14 matches, just five fewer than Liverpool and three less than Manchester City.

Wolves’ away record is the 11th-best in the Premier League. Gary O’Neil’s side have won just five of their 14 matches on the road while conceding 23 times across these outings.

Brentford 1-2 Manchester United

Brentford and Manchester United face off at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday night.

The Bees have picked up 26 points this season, with 16 of these coming at home. Memorably, United won the last encounter between these two sides 2-1 back in early October as Scott McTominay scored a stoppage time brace to give Erik ten Hag’s side all three points.

Heading into this clash, United have won four of their last five matches against the Bees in the Premier League, with last season’s 4-0 away defeat being the anomaly.

Liverpool 3-1 Brighton

Liverpool will be aiming to beat Brighton at Anfield on Sunday with the added incentive that both of their title rivals play one another.

As previously mentioned, Liverpool have the best home record in the division, winning 11 and drawing three of their 14 matches on home soil, while averaging 2.7 goals per game.

Brighton have struggled away from home this season, as they have the 12th-best record in this regard, earning 15 points from 14 away fixtures while leaking 28 goals and scoring 22.

Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

The final game on this week’s Super 6 is a heavyweight clash between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

City are unbeaten at home in the Premier League this season, as they’ve played 14, won 10 and drawn four, while Arsenal have a very impressive defensive record away from home, as they’ve let in just 11 goals in total across 14 matches.

With this game potentially being crucial in the outcome of the title race, could this match result in a cagey 1-1 draw?
