Successful businessman and Celebrity MasterChef contestant Thomas Skinner is currently the favourite to be selected for the upcoming 2022 series of I’m a Celebrity.
Skinner is best known for his time on another highly contested TV show, having been on The Apprentice back in 2019, where he reached the quarter-finals before Sir Alan Sugar fired him. Skinner has since gone on to become the Managing Director of The Fluffy Pillow Company.
British actress Laila Rouass is also firmly tipped to be a part of the TV show in Australia at the odds of 11/4.
Rouass has been an actress since 1999 when she played Yasmine in Senso Unico, and has since gone on to play roles in highly notable television shows such as Casualty, Hollyoaks, Footballers’ Wives, Primeval, Spooks, Holby City, Midsomer Murders and Loose Women.
The 50-year-old’s most recent piece of work was in the British television drama series called Safe, where she played the role of Lauren Marshall.
Mark Ian Hoyle, otherwise known as LadBaby is a highly successful Youtuber and Blogger from Nottingham who has recently delved into the music industry.
The 34-year-old has over 1 million subscribers to his Youtube channel on top of over 245 million views, with Hoyle’s main source of entertainment being his comedy, by showing off life hacks, pranks, social media challenges and more.
In 2018, LadBaby’s music career notably had one of its biggest hits, when in December, he made a parody cover of “We Built This City” by Starship, amending the main chorus to sausage rolls.
LadBaby was also influential in making the song “Sausage Roll For Everyone” which with the help of Elton John and Ed Sheeran, topped the Christmas charts last year.
Former Premier League footballer and England international Peter Crouch is also in contention for a role on this year’s show.
Crouch who managed 22 goals in 42 caps for the Three Lions between 2005 and 2010 won three club Honours in his career, with his last two being an FA Cup and Community Shield in his time at Liverpool back in 2006.
Since retiring from football back in 2019 after a short spell at Burnley, Crouch has taken up a successful TV career, becoming a pundit with the likes of BT Sport, as well as hosting his own podcast with BBC 5 Live called “That Peter Crouch Podcast”.
Premier League referee Mike Dean has been rumoured to be in the frame for a place in the jungle.
Dean, is set to be retiring from his role as a referee at the end of the current season after just over 20-years in the top flight.
The 53-year-old from the Wirral is a well-known fan of Tranmere Rovers and has made appearances on other shows, such as Season 2, Episode 8 of Ted Lasso. Dean has often been accused of wanting to be in the centre stage during his career, with the Liverpudlian showing 185 red cards across his 25-year career.
Oldham-born radio presenter Nick Grimshaw also features on this list of potential I’m a Celebrity contestants.
The 37-year-old has been part of Radio 1 since 2007 when he first hosted BBC’s youth strand Switch with notable DJ Annie Mac.
Grimshaw has been a regular guest and co-host on The One Show, whilst also hosting the likes of Radio 1’s Breakfast, he has also made appearances on the likes of Celebrity Gogglebox and The Great British Bake Off since his rise to notoriety.
