Arsenal have emerged as the favourite for the signature of Sander Berge from Sheffield United, with a 2/1 price for the Gunners to sign him.
Mikel Arteta’s side are clearly in need of a rebuild to their squad after a disastrous season that has seen them finish outside a European place for the first time in 23 years. The signing of Berge could be a good addition to the Arsenal midfield, especially when the likes of Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard leave the club when their loan spells expire in the summer.
At the same time, given how Berge is now a Championship player with the Blades, his price tag will likely drop to something easier on the eye for Arsenal's notorious owners.
The former Genk midfielder could come in to fill the void left behind by the two Real Madrid creative forces, helping form a new-look Arsenal side after the disappointment this season. At 2/1, it could be a deal that goes through.
