Bolton Wanderers have been very poor this season with two wins in 11 games in League Two and are now sitting in 20th place on 10 points.
Ian Evatt’s men have won just one of their last five fixtures as well as being knocked out of the FA cup by newly-promoted League One side, Crewe Alexandra in a 3-2 defeat. Approaching this fixture, Salford City have been in a better form, unlike Bolton, as they have won three of their last five matches.
Richie Wellens’ side are now sat in 10th position with 16 points and a game in hand on many other League Two sides. On top of this, the Salford side have the joint lowest amount of goal conceded with eight and above-average goals scored of 16.
When playing at home in recent fixtures, Bolton have scored in each of their last four matches in all competitions. Salford, on the other hand, have scored in each of their last five matches in all competitions netting two or more goals three times.
This game, therefore, should see both teams scoring with Wellens’ men coming away with the three points. As of now, BTTS and over 3.5 goals in the match is priced at odds of 3/1.
So far this season, Colchester United have performed well after a slow start. In recent League Two games, Steve Ball’s side has done well winning three and losing two, although they suffered a huge FA Cup upset as they lost to Northern Premier League side Marine.
The U’s will be hoping to see vast improvements from this game and get back to scoring ways. Coming into this fixture, Leyton Orient are in 13th place on 15 points.
On the other hand, after a moderately poor start to the campaign, the O’s have picked themselves up with three wins and a draw in their last five league games.
However, they too exited the FA Cup last weekend as they were defeated by Newport County. This game looks very even with both sides having similar stats in the league this season and looks to go either way.
However, in the last four clashes, Colchester has won three consecutively with BTTS occurring in these fixtures. In all four of these matches, there have been three or more goals scored showing that this could be a goalfest.
Forest Green Rovers have been in great form this season as they currently sit in third place, four points off the league leaders, Newport County. Mark Cooper’s men have now won six of their games this season and have only registered two defeats in the 11 games played.
Although, worryingly for the Green, two defeats have occured in the last five games as well as a humiliating 6-2 FA Cup exit handed to them by Lincoln City. This season, Mansfield Town have been extremely poor as they are yet to register a win in 11 games played, with seven draws occurring for the side.
The Stags are currently one of two sides that have not won a game, the other being Southend United who sit rock bottom of the table. However, they have had huge recent success after beating League One side Sunderland, in the FA Cup 1-0.
Interestingly for Forest Green, five out of their six wins have all fit in this accumulator with the 4-1 victory over Scunthorpe being the only exception. Therefore, if Cooper’s men were to win against Mansfield, which is very likely due to the teams form this campaign, this outcome is highly likely to happen.
Currently, Forest Green to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 is priced at odds of 2/1.
Coming into this fixture, Oldham Athletic have been in strong recent form with three wins in their last five matches in all competitions. This comes after an appalling start to the season where the Latics lost four out of five games in League Two and drew once.
Despite being the second-worst side in the league at conceding goals, Harry Kewell’s men have made up for it with improvements in front of goals where they have registered 15. On the other hand, Scunthorpe approach this clash in abysmal form, with seven successive defeats in all competitions - this includes a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City academy in the EFL Trophy and a FA Cup exit to the National League side, Solihull Moors.
So far this season in League Two, Neil Cox’s men have played eight games and have lost six and are sat in 23rd spot on four points. Although, the side has three games in hand on most teams in the league. In terms of previous clashes, Scunthorpe should be the better side as they have won three out of the last five matches.
However, with the atrocious form of Scunthorpe, this should be three points for Oldham. As of now, odds of Oldham to win with a -1 handicap is priced at 3/1.
Approaching this fixture, Walsall have been in wavering form with three draws in their last five league games. Drawing fixtures has been a large part of Darrell Clarke’s season, as they have registered seven which is on par with Mansfield.
Although, unlike the Stags, the Saddlers have won three of their fixtures and have suffered only one defeat which is the lowest amount in the league. In League Two, Mark Molesley’s men have also registered five goals along with 25 goals conceded - this is the most in the league.
Although Southend have been atrocious at stopping goals going in, Walsall have been a very low scoring team with 12 goals this season. They are also yet to total more than two goals in a game in all competitions this campaign. Therefore, odds of Walsall to win and under 3.5 goals in the match is priced at 11/10.
