Monaco are absolutely flying in Ligue 1, winning five games on the bounce. They have done so in some fashion too, scoring sixteen goals and the over 2.5 goal market landing in each. Only PSG and Lyon have registered more goals than them this season, with their front duo Wissam Ben Yedder and Kevin Volland finding the back of the net for fun.
The French club have scored in their last sixteen games, and will fancy their chances against a side that have kept one clean sheet in their last seven. Nice have massively dropped off from last season, finding themselves in a rut. Many will be predicting Monaco (4/9) to prevail, but the over 2.5 goal market is a bigger price at 8/13.
Second on our treble are two of the Premier League's surprise packages of the season - Aston Villa and West Ham. Both clubs have exceeded expectations, impressing with their attacking performances. The Hammers have seen over 2.5 goals in each of their last four, scoring 2+ goals themselves three times. The market has only landed twice in Villa's last five, but they did manage to score in all but one.
At 3/4, there is big value in this selection. Both teams like to attack, and a win for either would assert their legitimate intentions, in breaking into the top six this season. It's a big one at Villa Park on Wednesday evening, and we are hoping for the two frontlines to flourish.
Ligue 1 has produced much entertainment this season, with the goals flying around. Despite sitting in 14th place, Brest have impressed going forward - with 33 league goals scored, only four clubs have managed more. With 41 conceded though, only two sides have shipped more. Going from the stats, it won't come as a surprise to see their name pop up in our over 2.5 goal list.
Their game against Strasbourg has been given a chance of 62.5%. The latter's GD is a similar to Brest's - they have scored 30 goals but also conceded 34. When the two collide, will the trend continue? Over 2.5 goals is a rather generous 20/23.
