Coventry v Rotherham Tips: 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 draw

Both of these enter this fixture having won just one of their last five fixtures, leaving them dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The home side managed to rescue a point against Derby in midweek, courtesy of a last-gasp Gustavo Hamer goal to cancel out Colin Kazam-Richards 83rd minute strike. The Sky Blues have struggled defensively this season, conceding the most out of any side with 25. However, each of their last four games have failed to yield more than two goals, highlighting a rather flat season so far for Mark Robins’ side.

Their opponents this weekend Rotherham sit just a place below them in 20th, having lost 2-0 at home to Brentford on Tuesday evening. They will be without Mickel Miller, who, after coming on as a 70th-minute substitute, managed to accumulate two yellow cards and hand Brentford a penalty late on.

In doing so, they joined Wycombe and Nottingham Forest as the joint-second side with the most losses this season, so The Millers will be hoping this weekend could provide a realistic opportunity for three points.

However, with both of these sides struggling to find any form in front of goal, we expect this to be a tight affair in which neither team will be wanting to drop points. Therefore, our tip is for the match to end in a draw, and under 2.5 goals at 7/2.

Bristol City vs Birmingham Tips: Bristol to win and over 2.5 goals

Bristol City moved up to third place momentarily after they returned to winning ways against QPR on Tuesday evening. Having played out a tough goalless draw with Watford on matchday 12, league leaders Reading comfortably swept them aside in the subsequent match.

However, they managed to keep out a persistent QPR side, with goals from Nahki Wells and Adam Nagy enough to hand The Robins their eighth win of the season.
Meanwhile, Birmingham fell victim to two late goals from Barnsley in midweek, meaning the Blues are now without a win in six games.

While they kept their place in 18th, Aitor Karanka was visibly frustrated with his side, saying they were ‘too nice’ after letting their lead slip in the space of 13 second-half minutes.

This weekend’s fixture is a golden opportunity for Bristol to keep pace with the play-off sides, and we fully expect them to get the win over a struggling Birmingham side who are clearly lacking in confidence. Therefore, our tip for this one goes to Bristol to win and over 2.5 goals at 3/1.

Reading vs Nottingham Forest Tips: Joao to score and win

Although Reading returned to winning ways last weekend, they once again dropped points in midweek in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday. With 20 attempts on target and 78% possession, the Royals will certainly feel hard done by with their domination failing to translate into goals. Having topped the Championship for a number of games, Reading now find themselves in fourth place having won just one of their last five fixtures.

However, they may take comfort in the fact that this weekend’s opponents Nottingham Forest are teetering on the edge of the relegation zone. While they put in a respectable performance against Watford during their goalless draw on Wednesday night, Forest are seemingly in real trouble this season, and the appointment of former Norwich manager Chris Houghton has done little to change that.

Although Reading find themselves in a slump compared to their previous form, they should certainly have too much quality for Nottingham Forest this weekend. In particular, forward Lucas Joao has been in breathtaking form of late, bringing his tally for the season up to 10 against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

With this in mind, our tip for this one goes to Lucas Joao to score and Reading to win at 3/1.

Brentford v Blackburn tips: Toney and Armstrong to score

This fixture has certainly got all the makings of a highly entertaining afternoon in west London, with both sides finding themselves in a purple patch recently.

The home side made it three wins out of three in midweek as Ivan Toney comfortably dispatched his 13th goal of the season to hand Brentford their seventh win so far. Toney has been nothing short of sensational up to this point, and he is currently 13/5 to score first on Saturday. After a slow start to the season, Thomas Frank and his side look to be real contenders for promotion once again.

Meanwhile, Blackburn have been equally as impressive in recent games, also winning their last three games in a row. The 2-1 win over Millwall on Wednesday night brings the Blue and Whites within two points of a play-off position, and it wouldn't be of any surprise to see them continue this form going into this weekend’s fixture. Adam Armstrong’s 91st minute winner brought his tally for the season up to 14 in as many games, making him the league’s top scorer.

With Ivan Toney and Adam Armstrong in impeccable goalscoring form, our tip is for both players to score at 9/2.

Norwich v Wednesday Tips: Norwich to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1

League leaders Norwich were stunned in midweek as they slipped to 3-1 defeat against Luton. After drawing with Coventry the week before, Daniel Farke will be relieved after second-place Bournemouth also slumped to a defeat at home to Preston, meaning the Canaries maintained their one-point lead at the top going into matchday 16. Norwich will be eager to return to winning ways having won three in a row before a draw and loss has halted their charge for the title.

This weekend’s opponents Sheffield Wednesday are without a win since their last gasp victory over Bournemouth some six games ago. The Owls find themselves in a rather dire position in 23rd place, although their draw against Reading showed some promising signs, especially defensively. With four draws in their last five fixtures, it is certainly a frustrating period for Wednesday who are seemingly lacking in front of goal.

With this in mind, it would seem that this fixture is the perfect opportunity for Norwich to return to winning ways, which is why our tip for this one goes to the Canaries to win either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 at 7/4.
