Chelsea’s top scorer at Euro 2020 is an interesting conundrum, as Germany duo Timo Werner and Kai Havertz are their first and second favourites according to the Bookie’s at 2/1 and 5/2 to score the most goals of any of their players at the competition, despite being drawn in a group alongside France, Portugal and Hungary.
Werner has had a poor season, scoring just six goals in 35 league appearances, however, the 25-year-old has a decent record for Germany, scoring 15 in 37 matches, although his last goals for Die Mannschaft came back in November, as the former Leipzig man scored a brace against Ukraine.
Havertz has also had a troubled season at Stamford Bridge, but, did cap off his first season at Chelsea by scoring their winner in the Champions League final against City. The 21-year-old has impressed in recent internationals, having a goal contribution in two World Cup qualifiers against Iceland and Romania.
Other odds are the likes of Mason Mount at 4/1 as he regularly features in England’s starting line-ups and has scored four in 16 games for the Three Lions, as well as the likes of Italy star Jorginho who is the Azzurri’s penalty taker, hence why he is priced as low as 9/2 and finally France forward Olivier Giroud, who is also in the same group as Werner and Havertz and may struggle for game time due to Karim Benzema’s international call up, which sees him have the odds of 7/1 despite scoring 44 goals in 107 appearances for his country.
